Would just put CBJ in a limbo where they are stuck in the worst of both worlds - too "good" to tank, too bad to actually be consistently competitive.

This just feels like it would be more of that.

That's getting into "don't be absurd" territory for the Jackets. Marchenko's been amazing and we'd much rather keep him, and Jiricek is can't-afford-to-lose. Rossi would be a nice add, but, well, we've got a lot of good young centers as is; he'd be better than several of them, but it's not worth giving up those guys to get him. Meanwhile, Lambos plays on the wrong side and the pick is not helpful.

Best case scenario for Sillinger is probably Anthony Cirelli. Good defensive 2/3C on a contender. He won’t even be 21 for ten more days, so no reason to move on yet. So not as high a ceiling as KJ but less likely to be traded, if that makes sense.

KJ probably has the higher overall ceiling...he can be a PPG guy.

We are definitely high on Silly...great bounce-back year for the kid. I think his ceiling is a solid 2C, and could make a great 1-2 punch with Fantilli. I'd say he's only getting moved for a Top-15. He's produced more, played more, and is slightly younger than, Dach was when he got traded.

Which, you can "spare me" all you want, unless you want to make it an overcomplicated trade involving your '24 1st, I just dont really look at your roster and see anything I want/ know I can get.

I legitimately want to know what kind of deranged mindset it takes to think that Chinakhov-for-Robertson would in any way be of any interest whatsoever to the Jackets under any circumstances. Chinakhov has been the better, more productive player at literally every single phase of his career, without the injury concerns. It's a complete no-brainer.

We'd much rather keep Gudbranson; he's been very effective as a glue guy, and not half bad as a bottom pairing blueliner, and Robertson's injury history isn't one we'd want to mess with.

And that's incredibly poor value for Texier.
