Change one Draft Selection in Last 5 Years
Well if everyone gets to do it Barzal goes 3rd that year to Zona instead of Strome. Conner goes to Devils instead of Zacha. Boesser goes to Fla over Crouse. Aho goes to Dallas instead of Gurianov. So who does that leave for Boston with those picks. Chabot, Debrusk, Konecny maybe.

I figured I might get some push back from Dallas fans if I made that proposal, but he was the guy I originally wanted. The thought that crossed my mind was that he might be too big of a piece of their identity for them to trade though. I bet the Dallas fans consider him a core piece.

Of course that contract on Bergy is like handcuffing a boulder to your ankle and trying to swim. What were they thinking?
The game is changing and frankly has already changed. Older players are getting run out by faster younger players. No different than any other sport really.
But hey good luck with that.</div></div>
You don't seem to have any clue who Bergy is. You're either trolling or don't watch him often enough.

Shrug!
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BreKel</b></div><div>To be fair, Seguin said that back in 2013. While Neely is still here, Chiarelli and Claude are both gone. Yes, the chances he returns are slim to none, but I can't go off something he said 5-6 years ago as a reason for it. Bruins may very well go after him if he does reach UFA. They did target Tavares. He is still friends with Marchand. Who knows at this point.
That said, this is going to be annoying because it's already starting now, and the season hasn't even started yet lol.... Seguin to Boston mocks are already overdone. haha</div></div>
I just don't see it. Two of the biggest critics of Seguin are still here in Neely and Bradley. I know Sweeney really liked Seguin, but it would take an over payment from Boston to get Seugin to come here. I also don't put much stock in the friends with Marchand stuff. They were friends, but its not like they are inseparable and spend every moment together.
Would I love to have Seguin back in Boston? 100%, so maybe my pessimistic attitude is just me trying not to get my hopes up.

Likely starting lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SammyT_51</b></div><div>Bjork needs one more year in AHL before jumping in. And he would go below Pasta.
He plays top 4 over who?</div></div>
Here is a small snippet of an interview Cassidy did with the Boston Globe:
<em>"<strong>Bergy and Marsh [Brad Marchand], what if we moved Pasta [David Pastrnak] down and tried Bjork back up there?</strong> We did that last year...Krech [David Krejci] and DeBrusk have good chemistry, and I’d imagine Pasta would. It would be exciting for him. I have seen them play together, so that’s more about as the year goes on, what’s better suited for us to win hockey games against the more balanced teams. Is it those guys being together as a trio or is it better split up? I think we’ll do both throughout the year...<strong>Our intention last year was to split them up, give us better balance.</strong> The injuries kind of threw everything out of whack, and they just kind of slotted in as we went, we just left it alone."</em>
Won't be shocked if Krug ends up slotting in as the #3LD when all is said and done. Amazing offensive player, but doesn't have the defensively ability to match up against top 6 forwards. Krug also holds Carlo back from really playing a more two-way game and last year was proof. Carlo brought next to no offense to the team compared to his rookie year and saw his production drop by 62% while playing with Krug. Moving Krug to #3LD allows him to face lesser talented opponents on both ends of the ice and that should help him all around. Miller/McQuaid also are better suited playing that traditional stay at home defender, which is what Krug needs.
Lets be honest, when the game is winding down and the team is protecting a led, you're not calling Krug to go out there and shutdown the other team. Instead your calling Moore's number to do the job. On the flip side if you're down a goal in the winding minutes, you're probably calling on Krug to get the job done.

Oh Canada
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Username_Bot</b></div><div>Personally, I don't like to criticizes BUT there is a lot of holes here. David Krejci has a full NMC and would not waive especially go to a worse team. Btw, Habs would shut the phone the first second that Bergevin realize it is Sweeney . Second, Heinen is an amazing young top 6. He would emerge to be a top 6 or even a first liner. We can't lose him, especially not for a player who didn't even put up 30 points. We don't need another top 6 in RNH. We have Donato, Heinen, Krejci, Backes, Debrusk, Bjork (if he is good enough to play). We have 6 second line players, our first line shouldn't be touched. We need Krug and McQuaid, with Chara coming close to a retirement, we need other Dman. I am sorry but this is a 1 star. Also btw, we just took a 6M salary dump in RHN, would rather Backes over RHN every day of the week. More experienced, bouncing back, hard hitting. Yeah</div></div>
If you think RNH (not RHN btw) is a cap dump you probably shouldn’t be on this site.

Creative Contender
So Boston is going to trade a nearly 60 point d-man + a nearly 50 point two-way forward for a guy that's going to cost them around $6 to $7 million to re-sign? Sorry, but I'd rather have Heinen and Krug. Not saying Nylander isn't a good player, but doesn't seem to make much sense for Boston.

Interesting. The guy ranked 26th in points last year among LWer's as a rookie. He had two less points than some kid name Tkachuk and only three more points than this guy named Neal. Oh he also had 4 more points than that DeBrusk kid, who the Bruins wont trade...yet Heinen will only be a solid 3rd liner? Meanwhile the guy that you say Krejci needs has put up a whopping 28 points in 93 games played. Oh, but a former #4OA pick so there's so much more potential. Funny I remember this kid name Nail going #1 overall and now he's out of the league.

I think its that and he's the Bruins highest paid player, so automatically you think "he's not their best player so why is he paid like he is?"
Of course at the time of Krejci's extension he had just come off of a nearly 70 points season (finished with 69) and the year prior was a NHL's leading scorer in the playoffs and Boston didn't really have many options down the middle so PC had to pay before Krejci hit the open market. These are things that no one thinks about when they see a contract and decide if its bad or not.

I explained the Isles, you are not getting that kind of return for Quaider.
Would be a mistake to give up on Seny, one of the few RH shots they have in the system for a rental that just blocks Heinen or Bjork from PT. Adding Zucc would mean having to play Backes or Heinen at 3rd line center. Something they prefer not to do.

I really wish when you put people on the ignore list even their ACGM's wouldn't show. Sad that he seems like the only one that post ACGM's and all are atrocious. I remember when ACGM's would be pretty good, now the site is so popular is turning into every other hockey "forum" site. You know the ones filled with people that feel like their smarter than everyone else, but couldn't hold an intelligent hockey conversation and have no facts to back-up their opinion.
