Big time
1. I don't see where the Habs are interested in moving Savard but if they did they might be able to get slightly more value but not a bad return here.
2. I don't see any scenario where the new management go after anyone from the 2018 team canada wjc team, especially not any of the ones with the appearance of being involved in that horrific crime. Habs pass
3. I don't think either side wants to make such a lateral trade.
4. Avs might do that and it's not bad value
5. That's pretty fair value to dump Armia Hawks fans probably view it as a bad move since they want to compete asap but a patient approach seems wise here but it really could be any other rebuilding team.
6. This trade could work out very well for both teams and could probably even make that trade this year

I didn't see the game but from what I heard he played a simple game never out of position and wasn't scored on, unlike Mailloux who was scored on 3 times and coughed the puck up quite a bit in that game. I don't mind Reinbacher keeping it simple while he acclimated to the NA game, better to play simple sound defense than look lost out there

For me Reinbacher and Beck are above Simoneau but they are definitely the top 4

Look at the long-term tab, the Rags have 23 mil, they will easily sign them. Teams find a way to keep their best players, saying a team won't keep a player is like saying water isn't wet.

Probably DeSmith and Primeau
I don't know why but Hughes and company really like Allen as Monty's mentor, probably due to off ice things we as fans don't get to see.

You missed Primeau and one of Allen or DeSmith from the Habs, we currently have 4 goalies requiring waivers

Price out and bold predictions out of camp
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AnonymousSensFan</b></div><div>OP has a fundamental misunderstanding of how LTIR works.
It's not a "the players cap hit disappears and you get to exceed cap by that amount". You don't get to double dip on cap relief.
Yes, you get to exceed the cap when a player is on LTIR. But only up to that players salary, while also counting that players salary. The cap relief is being able to exceed the cap. Player still counts</div></div>
I never said his cap hit disappears, I said it allows them to exceed the cap, huge distinction there. Also never said the trade had to be made right now or that it had to be Tampa, I distinctly remember adding the description that it could be Vegas or Edmonton as well, I just kind of assumed people would be smart enough to figure out it was any contender wanting to add whomever had LTIR money already invested through out the season but I guess they weren't and I will have to explain everything like I am talking to 2 year Olds from now on.
Anyway, if Tampa fans want to bi*** about taking on a contract to help them stay in contention, then they can just watch their stars walk away and become bottom feeders for the next few years. JBB would absolutely take on the Price contract if it meant he could resign Stamkos and prolong their window.

Weber's contract got a 4th cause Vegas wanted to exceed the cap for a cup run, same principle.

Anyway, your defense is pure rookies and your goaltending is a sad sight to see. Good news is you’ll get a top ten pick! I think you’ll still beat out the Flyers though!</div></div>
How did I make it seem like this was a top team, I just laid out how those lines will play. This team was designed with the idea that more rookies/young guys will make the lineup and moving out some vets in the process. Monty will get 40-50 games this year and continue his solid development but you are right we will still be a bottom 10 team and that's the point of moving out the vets and Price's contract. If we were going to compete we would be keeping Price for his LTIR relief as well as guys like Dvo and Savard to push for the playoffs.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boltsbeathabs</b></div><div>Hell no TB doesn't have to deal with that bull**** after this year send an unprotected 1st next year maybe they consider it</div></div>
Just like we had to include 3 1sts and some top prospects to move Weber or Chairot right?! Jeesh, why do you even bother commenting if you are just going to ignore past trades?! LTIR contracts don't require any compensation, contending teams find them valuable to allow for them to add more important peices to help win championships (you would think a Lightening fan would graps that concept)

Honestly, I don't see him worth a 1st anymore, would you pay a 1st for Harris? Harris has more NHL experience and his development seems to be ahead of Heinola's and could actually become available if Barron or Reinbacher push him out of the Habs lineup. I think right now, Harris might have slightly more value due to NHL experience, so I will leave it to you like this, what would you pay for Harris? That would be about the same price point right now for Heinola IMO.

Montreal easily says no on multiple levels
1. No way is any GM ever gonna retain half on Anderson's contract for 4 years when he is still a valuable asset, even if he is overpaid by 1 mil.
2. That return isn't anything Montreal needs, we need to open up roster spots for the young guys not add additional roster players we need to move out.
3. If Toronto wants to trade for Anderson they are going to have to give us something we want and overpay too cause the Habs aren't in the business of helping the Leafs and Bruins win cups.

A more realistic Zegras trade see notes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MoxNix</b></div><div>It contains 2 late 1sts an OHL defense prospect who's a huge PR problem, a small OHL forward prospect, a small defenseman who wouldn't make most NHL rosters and a pending RFA tough guy 3rd pair defenseman who's on IR. As I said the Ducks will want more quality and less quantity. The tough guy might be the most valuable of the Montreal players/prospects.</div></div>
2 really early 1st not late cause Habs aren't a playoff team even with Zegras. OHL D man?! I think you need to brush up on your CHL rules, Mailloux has aged out and will either make the NHL or develop more in the AHL, either way he is a quality prospect who has had issues in the past but I wouldn't throw stones if I was the team that drafted any of the 2018 WJC Canadian players who are potentially involved in that horrific crime (Comtois). Mesar may be small ish but he is still a first round pick with good potential. I don't know what D man you are calling small, (I would assume it was Harris) but he isn't really that small at 5'11" 190lbs he is a pretty solid D man and already top 4 on most teams and if he is too small I would hate to see what your view on Drysdale and Zellweger are cause they are both smaller than Harris. As for Xhekaj, he is currently on the IR but will be ready for training camp in less than 2 weeks. Think you need to brush up on you hockey knowledge before commenting back, thanks for playing, you lose!

This is an outlandish proposal, that offer would be more in line with what it would cost to go after Petterson. The offer contains 4 1st round picks + 2 2nds or a 2nd and 3rd. Zegars probably only costs 2 1sts and a 2nd value wise
