Letang is a scratch, Berg will still be able to perform as a shutdown option.
I honestly don't see Toews or Perron making it, just filling in spots.
If you think Chabot and Ekblad aren't good enough to be on team Canada in 2 years, I seriously have to question your credibility in the first place.

0 chance Florida even considers this. Additionally, Dubas has shutdown the Nylander trade talks multiple times. So I disagree that this would "make sense". I'm sure you can do better.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Trevorchef</b></div><div>He is just too young. He will not even turn 19 until September. As a smaller player at a young age, it would be much better for his development to play huge minutes outside of the NHL over getting 8 to 10 minutes a night in the NHL in a lesser role. The Leafs have plenty of wingers. No need to rush him.</div></div>
Potential Marlies stink for a year or two you think?

Kerfoot has been big time underperforming in my opinion. With top 6 minutes lately he hasn't been putting up a whole lot.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>newballcoach</b></div><div>I am not sure I would resign Kyle Clifford. He's expensive for what a 4th line option should give you. I really hope Egor Korshkov is ready for the NHL next season (he's one for one so far) and maybe even Marchment. Petan or Agostino can play 4th line minutes for all Keefe uses them.
I go back and forth on trading Kapanen. I'd love to see him become a Hyman type player at RW on the Nylander-Tavares line (with Willie on the LW). That makes a very dangerous top-6, and leaves Johnsson or Kerfoot to provide a bit of depth scoring (one probably needs to be moved). Maybe Bracco can help with that a bit, but he needs to figure things out first.</div></div>
I agree with the depth scoring bit. I think it hasn't been discussed how the leafs depth scoring has taking a massive **** ever since the Mikheyev injury. That guy was a beauty when in the lineup

Trade options
I don't see the logic in revamping most of your roster in the midst of a playoff race. There simply isn't any time to try to build chemistry with this many new "key" players. On a side note, I don't think any of these trades make any particular sense anyway.

Post allstar roster and lines without a trade Is it enough for a playoff push
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>The Leafs shouldn't be so worried about the contract as they are winning now. Marincin has been OK. But if the Leafs go with the roster you have shown, there still might be a injury in the next two months and Leafs might have to recall Sandin anyway.
Saw Liljegren the other night. He might have learned a valuable lesson. The NHL game is faster than the AHL. A few times he gathered the puck and seem to think "What is my best play?" Then a Hawk player was on him. Gotta learn"the best play" has been thought out, before you touch the puck.</div></div>
Great insight. Sandin would be the first callup if any Dman gets injured for sure. Liljegren looked pretty good in terms of skating and passing, but similarly to Sandin, as you said, a decision has to be made prior to getting the puck a lot of the time, and they have to play a little quicker. Which of course they will learn as they are only 19 and 20 years old!

This is what i thin Dubas should do
I was coming in here with an expectation of the usual Armchair GM trades. (Ceci for a 7th) (Kapanen for Gorgiev) ( Bracco and picks for Dillon).
I applaud you sir, and I very much agree with this assessment. A move might still happen, but it would be interesting to see what this current roster can do 100% healthy. Hopefully we get the opportunity when they make a playoff push/run!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jacobzentner</b></div><div>Im curious why Minni would do that? Even without retention, he is a top 4 defenseman. Bracco is a potential top nine forward and AJ is currently a top 9 forward. Barrie holds little value to Minny without an extension.</div></div>
I'm pretty sure Bracco is considered top 6 potential across the league and would be in most teams lineup right now. Only reason he ain't with the leafs is due to all the right handed wingers already (Marner, Nylander, Kapanen)

In my opinion, I'd let Sandin and Liljegren stay with the Marlies this year. Let them keep rolling together and then bring them up next year for the 1st of 3 entry level years. Not much sense in burning that 1st year at this point for Sandin. He won't get any PP or PK time on the current team so it doesn't make much sense.

Every leafs fan on Armchair GM wants to get rid of Ceci, why on earth do you think anyone would want to pick him up? Let's be real, if the leafs want to upgrade their defense, it will come at the cost of a forward. Other teams are not stupid, they know Toronto's surplus. At this point, Johnsson or Kapanen are replaceable in my opinion if it means getting a big body D like Dillon. Look at the amount of wingers who can come in and fill the void upfront.

Ceci for Hainsey makes no sense. Ottawa loves Hainsey for his mentorship of the young players. Leafs don't mind Ceci as much as literally every single Armchair GM does.
