<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Andy_Dick</b></div><div>Celebrini doesnt look like that saviour. He's a piece to the finish line ala Jonathan Toews . The 1st overall picks usually get overhyped leading up to the draft. Not Even Bedard will be able to save Chicago if the Hawks don't manage their assets well enough. I agree Bedard is miles better than Celebrini and he's proven thus far but his size is/will be an issue unlike say a Matthews or McDavid that can take over games on their own using their size to shield themselves from defenders. Bedard got mandhandled all year and why they had to put Foligno on his line. He will definitely win some scoring titles but the Hawks will need a ton more pieces if they want a Cup as he will be targeted in the playoffs.</div></div>
No one player can make or break a team! But sharks need a true #1 C and Will Smith is very good… but he isn’t a clear cut #1 C IMO Celebrini is.
And yea sharks need lots of pieces but they are building a decent future right now and in a few years we will start seeing their growth

I find it funny that you say San Jose “dumps” blackwoods salary for Korpisalo who is owed $16 mil in cap hit and is worse and older.

Blackwood isn't a cap dump, the first is tempting but It is likely a late first for a cap dump of 5 years

Ppl that fell for that narrative that Jake was going to be traded were foolish and now you think he will take less money to play for an org as toxic and undesirable as Buffalo?! Yup cant wait to play for an org that hasnt made playoffs in 15 years, crappy weather and 8 coaches in 13 years lma0</div></div>
It's Jake Debrusk, not Connor McDavid. Maybe dial it back

What in the world is the incentive for the Sharks here? not to mention the value alone isn't remotely close
A rebuilding team trading a young leader on a great contract and heart and soul depth forward that they could get good picks for, for a 30 year old with with mediocre production with 4 more years at 5 mil and D-man who's comparable to the one they're trading away who has a higher cap hit and is 3 years older.

Crosby another ring
I'm pretty sure that you can't sign a UFA to an 8-year term, as <a href="/users/LuckyMoneyPuck" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@LuckyMoneyPuck</a> intimates.
Somebody might give you a third-round draft pick for Reilly Smith, but it won't be Anaheim -- the Ducks aren't into rentals, particularly if they're not RhDs, and particularly if they're expensive moneywise.
I would be shocked if someone gave the Pens a second for Rickard Rakell.

Emberson was a waiver wire add by San Jose before the season. He’s been hurt a couple times this year but when in the lineup he’s been pretty good. Better than I thought he would be. 10 points in 30 games and is an RFA turning 24 next month. I don’t think San Jose wants to move him, he seems to fit in the timeline for being better. I could see him going for a 3rd maybe

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DFinn91</b></div><div>No shot the Sharks use the 3rd overall pick to get another undersized wing.</div></div>
Fair, but I'd say he's in a rare tier where it might be worth it. It's not like Gush and Bords are cracking the top 6 on a competitive team. A blue chip RW is certainly needed, maybe Martone in '25, bigger and more of a Grier size.
If SJ takes Lev, I'd like to see MBN with that Pitt pick.

I wouldn't cap dump Rakell. His 5v5 points/60 haven't much changed since last season. His drop in production comes from a) seeing much less time on the top line, and b) being hit particularly hard by the Pens' power play woes.
I don't see any reason for the Pens to sell low on Rakell unless they're 100% certain they can replace him without getting worse. I'm not sure they can.

Roy, Toffoli, and Lindholm are nice additions. Poulin would be a good gamble. Not sure Liljegren is worth that 2nd.
I looked at Lee as an interesting potential cap dump trade as well. I'm not sure NYI consider him a cap dump, though.
Nice ideas overall. Agree with others this might be too much too soon. Too many veteran forwards.
