Benson, savoie, kulich, Rosen, Ryan johnson etc.

this prospect pool is stupid good it is not even funny
Pass on the first trade. I'm honestly tired of undersized d, we have dahlin and power to move the puck. I would pass on the second trade because strbak is exactly the kind of d that we need. Kuemper at 5 million is probably fine, but the term is kinda rough. Probably have more value when the cap goes up.

Nah. I feel pretty good saying a protected first would be the main piece from buffalo. He's a rental. Even if there's a bidding situation, teams will just walk away before including anything too valuable, rental goalie don't pull stuff like that.

This agm is in 24-25 and those players need to be signed in 25-26 when cap friendly has thr cap at 92 million

Nope jiricek is the best defensive prospect in the NHL and still will be after the draft. What it would take to acquire him you wouldn’t want to pay. Think of what it would’ve cost for you to want to trade Power a year ago and that’s the price

I could see Columbus at least considering that if they're not loving Carlsson/Smith compared to Savoie, but fact remains they could've drafted Savoie last season and chose Jiricek instead. It's not a bad proposal, I just don't think they go for it.

To be honest this is going to be their last year worrying about the draft so they might as well throw another pick in the stash and have some assets going into 2024 that they could trade for win now pieces.

That's not to say Ostlund is a lesser player. Rosen just is looking really good. Haven't seen Ostlund in North America yet.</div></div>
Fair enough either is fine as jets just need to get younger. Rosen is likely closer to nhl ready and played American size rink. That deal works for either in there so no biggie.

Other side idk just wanted to see what things looked like
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Diaspora</b></div><div>Yeah, that would be at full salary (no retention).
Johnson is a smooth-skating LD that should quickly develop into a top-4. Former 1st round pick. The problem is he's UFA-eligible this summer. He wouldn't be available if Sabres were confident he'd sign with them. At minimum, he's a 2024 late 2nd, with the possibility to be significantly more.</div></div>
Could have sworn Johnson was a righty. Must be thinking of someone else. He's probably not an ideal prospect for NSH, given that they're much deeper on the left side with both prospects and roster players with term. The short window NSH would have to sign a prospect they have no established relationship with isn't ideal either.

But would they?</div></div>
Oilers fans are under the impression that the Sabres are willing to take on every teams trash and that their cap dump, Foegele, would greatly improve the Sabres despite being informed multiple times the Sabres have no use or want for him, yet 2 months later theyre still doing it instead of moving on and dumping him off in say like, Arizona, who just lost Ladd for the year and would make infinitely more sense for them

Projected Starting Line Up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Diaspora</b></div><div>I'm leaning toward what you say, but I wouldn't find it shocking if OP has the right defense lineup.
The question comes down to whether you think Samuelsson is mature enough (probably) and has enough talent (unknown) to truly dominate on third pairing match-ups a la Sergachev over the last couple years in Tampa.
He looks like a pretty good complement to Dahlin on the top line and may be the solid partner that allows Rasmus to freelance in the o-zone. But Lyubushkin could play that role too.
Jokiharju is the question mark. He didn't really mesh with Dahlin, though they really tried hard to make that a thing. I don't know that it would be any better to pair him with Power. He needs a statement year to remain with the team after this season.
It's gonna be fun to watch 'em figure it out.</div></div>
I don't get a vote, but for me-
Samuelsson-dahlin
Power-lybushkin
Bryson-jokiharju
My reasoning is that Samuelsson frees up dahlin to play his game, and I think we got a glimpse of what that looks like last year. Same idea with lybushkin and power. Both of our first overall picks would get a chance to excel with a physical defensive d watching the d zone. I don't think that jokiharju was the find that everybody (me included) thought. He seems like a middling two way d, not really excelling at much. It's too bad that Bryson is kinda the same thing, a solid defensive left d might be a better match for jokiharju. I would play the top 2 lines for the majority of the game and cross my fingers with bryson-jokiharju.
