Trades with Ducks Devils Blues and Canes
If the Blues had a g.m. with a brain, he'd take this trade. Unfortunately, Armstrong has not shown much for quite a while in St. Louis and would possibly balk, making the argument that we are in the playoff hunt now. Even if the Note does squeak into the playoffs, we do not have the guns or goal-tending to beat Nashville or Winnipeg in a seven game series. Probably not enough to beat any team at this point.

WORST CONTRACTS IN THE NHL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Price_is_the_goat</b></div><div>remove weber and put alzner. and wheres marleau?</div></div>
1 year term left for a guy who scored 28 goals and 50 points last year isn't really a bad contract, especially since it was only a 3 year term and there is only 1 year left.

Offer sheet Nylander
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Drunkley</b></div><div>8 mil per would only be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The price of 8 mil per would completely **** us (Leafs) over. This is worst case scenario for the Leafs and Colorado having the Sens first is a very real possibility.
Take the picks I guess, and spend that money somewhere else, but it would be a disaster for the Leafs to lose him for this little.</div></div>
Its counted on 5yr term so 8x7=56.. 56/5=11.2 which is 4 1sts.. and I agree that it would hurt as ****..

At least this way you essentially pay Zeitzev 8 mil a year, and get a Dman whose 6 years younger. Plus some valuable assets. Kapanen is unreal, and is gonna be a star, might be the best forward in your squad in year one.</div></div>

Burn this.
Kadri is not going anywhere. You don't get rid of a 30 goal centre on a cheap contract when centre depth is a huge part of your team.
Why trade out both Kapanen AND Brown? I think we should keep both but if you really want to make a trade move one to keep the other on the third line. You are killing our depth for no reason and rushing prospects like Bracco.
On a smaller note:
Dermott usually played right side (on marlies), if these are the lines we would go with he would be on the right keeping Gardiner of the left.

I don’t see marleau going anywhere unless he wins a cup. Even then I’m not sure he will waive.

Trade with TO
Is this a troll post? Or is this the classic Oiler fan shooting himself in the face trade proposal. Zaitsev and Brown are not worth Ethan Bear and Nurse. For anyone who calls me a ridiculous Leaf fan who over values his own players, use this as a defense against that perception.
This is a horrible trade for Edmonton to make.

Just going to say this. Nurse is worth more than Zaitsev and Brown by himself, yet we're throwing in 3 additional assets? Hmmm... yup, makes sense - this is Chiarelli's personal account.

Wingers and Jake for 6’4, 6’6 and 6’8 D men
It is sad that a fellow ACGM has to include a disclosure for the rest of us to not crucify you. Many times when we make teams or read about others, it is taken as gospel truth or something imminent. THIS IS ALL FOR FUN, PEOPLE! Try to have a little fun!
Anyways, nice job. However, if Andersen can raise his game to the next level along with what seems to be a high powered offense, I believe the TML are on the verge of greatness.

Dirk's Dynasty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jp_harvey</b></div><div>OMG...you are comparing Faulk with Parayko...and Kucherov with Nylander...dude, you need a reality check ASAP. It's not even funny, it's alarming, really.
The thing is, you being a Leafs fan (OBVIOUSLY), if you'd watch other games than Leafs games, maybe you'd understand a little bit more why you're so far out of touch with reality.
Just explain me this : since when a defensemen is considered valueable or great only by looking at his points total?</div></div>
Faulk was arguably better than Parayko at moment of which Im talking about. Defensively Parayko is bit better but offensively Faulk is bit better. Im not saying it would be exactly like this, since Parayko could easily be 50pt guy next year, wait.. Faulk almost cracked 50pts at 23.. All im saying is the comparison 3yrs ago which was pretty real and you see how it panned out. Nylander has Kucherovs upside. He can have similar numbers like Kuch from.. like next season. Nylander has actually better ppg Kuch at 22yrs of age. Im not saying he would surely 100% be just like Kuch, I would be stupid to write that.. they have similar skillset, shot, skating, almost everything.. I watch a lot of games and I see similarities between those two guys. I dont need reality check, those people who compare Nylanders value to Parayko need that. Parayko is solid guy but it would be Parayko + for Nylander.. he is no less valuable than Kucherov was after his ELC ended.. now it seems like I need reality check but we will see in 2yrs who is right and who is wrong.. All im saying is that trading Nylander for help on D would be stupid..
And to your question. Where was I saying that defencemen are considered more or less valuable ONLY by looking at their point totals? Points were just a small piece of comparison. Obviously in that category Faulk has all the advantage comparing 15-16 Faulk to 17-18 Parayko.. defensively Parayko has the advantage, so that comparison of 15-16 Faulk and 17-18 Parayko is not that far off as you are saying in your comment..

Trade with St. Louis
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Drunkley</b></div><div>Basically Steen is a part of the trade to help St Louis with their current cap issues but they would still have to take part of his salary to help us next year. This year the Leafs cap isn’t really an issue, it’s next year where it’ll be tight. But this team depending on a few signings would be at least close.. if we have to find a way to get rid of Steen next summer or let Myers walk, it’ll be no issue at all.
I’m sure he would wave to come to Toronto if they asked him to. We would re sign Pietrangelo, because after his contract is up, our cap wouldn’t be as much of an issue because we have some players like Marleau coming off the books and the cap should keep rising.
Need to give up a lot for a player like Pietrangelo, but to have a guy who finished top 10 in Norris voting, while being injured, a huge guy in Babs team Canada teams, leader, right handed and all that comes with him..is worth it.</div></div>
Take out Sandin and Kap, leave the 1st and get rid of the retention. Toronto isn't shy putting aging vets in the A, we can deal with Steens cap. I understand what you're saying on value but Nylander has the ceiling to be a top 10 right wing in the league and still has center potential. The value for a number one RHD is higher than Nylander which I agree, but man that was an over payment. (In my opinion)
P.S. I LOVE the Winnipeg trade. It fits both teams very well.

We can and we will part 1
If the Leafs were to get Brett Pesce, Gardiner certainly will not be part of the package. I say that because Carolina has Slavvin, De Haan, Fleury and Bean on the left, adding Gardiner would not make much sense, especially considering how they would like to add more scoring up front by trading one of their D (Faulk seems to be the one mentioned most frequently). I do agree that they could trade Pesce however, as they have Hamilton, Faulk and TVR on the right, but the package has to be right. Leivo could definitely be apart of that, but it would also take another body and a pick most likely. Other than that I like your team (I saw part two as well).

Leafs dont care about Karlsson
No deal from Toronto. Dermott is a top4 defenseman in his own right, so we aren't fixing much back there, and for that small upgrade we give up a 30 goal scoring matchup center on a steal of a deal. Just doesn't make sense.
