Interesting Idea

I'm not saying they are. He showed under MSL that he still has it. I can see a GM moving a late first for him. Especially if they have the cap room. If he is moved this summer I think there will be a lot of people surprised, he is still highly valued by many NHL GMs

I know I'm bias here but this is teams taking advantage of MTL. These trades hurt Montreal today and in 5 years.

I mean, the habs had both of them at one point or another. McCarron is the 1st rounder we'd like to forget and Kassian crashed his car downtown before he even played a game. These are 2 players that do not fit the Hughes era and would be pointless to bring them in.

Primeau is NOT our goalie of the future
This is a typical Hab fan over reaction. Are we actually using this season to see where our goaltending is at? CP will go down to the minors next year and have another great season. Put a good team around him and allow him to grow. He is still very capable of being a starting goalie for the habs in the future.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>I would say there is about a 5% chance that Wings take Drysdale, last thing they need is RD.
Not sure how Raymond at 5'10 is considered a "Big Winger"
Perfetti is at least 2 years from NHL ready, he has a lot to work on and is a LW, none of these things help Buffalo
Wild have one of the best goalie prospects in the league already in kahkonen
Flames are is significant more need of center prospects then wingers</div></div>
Not sure why I listed him as a big winger lol for some reason I have him as a big guy in my head, lol.
Perfetti has played both the wing and center, at this point anything can help Buffalo
IMO the flames need some more on the wing, more then center, Monahan, Jankowski, Dube, Gawdin, etc at center... Monahan is only 25

I agree to a certain extent, but having good pipeline is never a bad thing, I would think it would be a mistake to put all your marbles in one place so to speak.
Thanks everyone else for their feedback. Guess I'm on the Sanderson hype train a little too much. Habs will have a lot of good player available if they pick at 9

Plekanec against Clarkson and a 2nd round pick .
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>a1111</b></div><div>ATM ok because we have the cap hit , but if radulov would have sign with us , it would have been complex to enter everyone , it's probably why they cut tie with Markov . Im sure some talk when on with vegas to take Pleky for a 2nd maybe ? Or some trade talk minimally .He can be a nice trade bait at the end of season if thing go wrong so yeah of course we need to wait for the good pitch but the turtle neck cant stick around with DLR , Danault and Poehling , McCaron all have 3rd line center written over them atm ..i would go that route .</div></div>
DLR will be a few more years in the making, Poehling will be 3-4+ years away from a full time NHL job (if he makes it), Danault is currently our 2nd or even 1st one center unfortunately and McCaron has a lot to learn until he will become a full time NHL center, IMO another year or 2. Plecky does a great job and is the most underrated player on the team, we already don't have good center depth and getting rid of plec wouldn't help one bit.

Plekanec against Clarkson and a 2nd round pick .
yes he is over paid but its not like he is causing us to lose players, he's a great 3rd line C in the league IMO. I really hope they resign him, he's great defensively and that is our style whether we like it or not. To pay him 3 million dollars (or any in fact) to play against us would be a horrible decision.

Not sure Hudon will be in he NHL next year, not sure if he could be effective on the 4th line. Hab fans are getting ahead of themselves putting Jerabek in the top 6 to start the season, let alone the top d pair.

Take a chance jarg and despres
hab fans who have Jerabek in the top 6 to start the season are pushing it let alone on the top d pair. I would not like the Jagr signing at all tho, Jagr doesn't fit the habs game play, we want to be a fast team offensively, he is terribly slow.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens53</b></div><div>Dude they are getting 4 NHL players at salarys they are worth because of the retained money. They move up in position for the 4th rnd pick and get a second in 2017 and Ottawa takes on all of the Dustin Brown contract with no retained salary. Sure say Ottawa puts in the first rounder instead I'm sure you think that still isn't enough. Did you see the trades that happened yesterday at the expansion draft haha.</div></div>
I think you've been playing to much NHL 17, you can't throw in a bunch of bottom 6 or depth players along with a couple picks. You retained some money but that only adds up to less an 2 million. Again you are asking for a Franchise defensemen you have to give them something useful, they could pick up the types of players you offering in free agency. Yes, i did watch the expansion draft, huge difference is they are starting to build a team which means they need draft picks in order to start building a foundation, Ottawa and LA are playoff contenders little difference lol. If you want Doughty you will have to give up an important player on your roster and then some.
