how do we sign them all
You got Hronek for a first and a second. Why is now suddenly worth a 1st, a 1st who's stock has improved from where he was drafted, and a NHL dman who more than held his own in his first full season?

This
Plus Hronek is a right defense. Blues really need to redo that left side instead, unless Hronek can play the left as well, just don't see it happening with our current cap situation on the back end

Or perhaps even if we do move one out.

I'm guessing there will be multiple Blues fans who will jump at this showing up. For me, that's a no. Even if the main plan (trading up) fails, there's others I'd rather turn to.

Eh looking back on things like this has never made sense to me.
Walman, Barbashev, Joshua and Dunn never become those players if they stayed in St.Louis, it just wasn't a fit for them and that's ok. You could do this for every single team in the league, no point in dreading over it

(SJS/VGK) - Hertl, 2025 3rd (SJS), 2027 3rd (SJS) for Edstrom, 2025 1st (VGK)
Dare I call this a fair trade? The retention on Hertl stinks for SJS, but its not like Hertl was getting any more valuable. The Sharks get back a prospect who I am a very big fan of and a 1st, while also moving off of a terrible contract. Hertl will be extremely good in Vegas for the next 3 - 4 years, which is perfect for them. That center depth is terrifying. I like it for both sides to be completely honest, but if I had to pick a winner its obviously going to be Vegas

Blues 2025
The only way Dvorsky makes the team longer then 9 games is if he has a remarkable camp/ preseason. It's possible, but even then FO would have to feel that it is a good choice for his development and not an attempt to improve the team.

Personally I think its best to stay the course and if we can trade off a contract or two do it

Blues 2025 my take
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HolyJumpin81</b></div><div>Thought so. Whats the price? I kinda made one up based on scouting.</div></div>
I'm sure Staios isn't trying to rebuild so it'd have to be a hockey trade 1 for 1 likely which makes it tricky. Anyone we'd want you guys won't want to move, and anyone you guys want to give us won't be enough. We're probably aiming to make a playoff push next season so Buch, Parayko, Kyrou is who'd we'd target and obviously have to add extras onto Batherson. Which again makes it tricky because I can't see STL moving any of those guys to us so Idk how a trade would get done between us.

But they’re taking on about what his salary would be in Hayes so what’s the point. It’s gonna cost a lot to get him from Florida. They can afford him.

Sorry that doesn't mean that they're just giving him away for pretty much nothing. Zito will keep Lundell over Montour or Reinhart. Zito would probably need to move Sam Bennett then

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HolyJumpin81</b></div><div>Seems fair to me is it just that you'd rather keep the assets?</div></div>
I think it's a lot of good assets for a winger when it's not a splurge-worthy priority. I'd rather stay the retool course, let those two players develop further (Bolduc has a lot of Keller type attributes, and 3g in the last six ganes) and use those picks to trade up this summer.
Besides, if he's gonna ask out or there's some sell off for new owners business or some other drama and he pushes to come home, the price should drop. We're still owed hockey karma from the Pronger trade. And the Gilmour trade. And the Stevens signing.

I wouldn’t say Hayes failed
Faulk has been hurt but was still light years better than Krug, don’t be disrespectful.
Bolduc will be full time next year, Dean may be but he’ll get time in the Ahl which he needs
Yes this year sucked but a lot of what your saying isn’t true

Not trying to trade Parayko.
Don't think Chyrcrun is the D we need.
Even if we did want Chych still, it doesn't make sense to grab him if Parayko is going the other way.

(CGY/PHI/VGK) - Hanifin for for Miromanov, 2024 5th (VGK), 2025 1st (VGK), 2025 3rd (VGK)
Conroys streak of questionable trades continues. Trading Hanifin was a prime opportunity for the Flames to recoup some good futures, but they somehow managed to completely blunder the trade of one of the best players on the market. I guess the 1st isn't bad, although at this point it'll probably be 32nd overall and I do like Miromanov, but that just isn't enough. This is down right horrible for Calgary, and to make things worse they settled on this with a divisional rival...
For Vegas, this is a move that propels them even further towards the Cup. The idea of pairing Hanifin with Pietrangelo is terrifying. He's still got so many years of good hockey left in him, and it seems like Vegas will be able to get him re-signed. I already felt bad for any team in the west that has the misfortune of coming across Vegas in the playoffs, and it's even scarier now that they've bolstered their already stacked blue line while also still having room to add another huge asset. It's already game over for the rest of the league, we better hope the Knights don't land Buchnevich or Guentzel. Must be so nice having a front office that is just flat out fantastic.

I'm expecting Jeremy Bracco and Mike Craig to be in the next ones.
