You’re on your way to being a pro scout my man. You can show all the other scouts those JFresh cards, you’ve unlocked the secret. Give me your scouting report on Struble, I want to hear it.</div></div>
JFresh card is just one way to support my argument. You’ve had nothing to support your argument on Struble or Cole. Just “he plays for Montreal so he’s good and worth a bunch” and “he doesn’t play for Montreal so he’s bad and worthless”
It’s an undeniable fact that Cole has been much better than Struble in a bigger role on a better team. Take your homer glasses off

I don't disagree with your points, but Philly is still rebuilding and they still are likely to sell. I think Konecny could be available and Lekk and a 1st are certainly a start. Kuzmenko likely doesn't fit, I think he would struggle with Torts as his coach.

Moving Cole and Lafferty doesn’t make sense for the Canucks. If they move a roster player it’ll likely be Kuzmenko

ya your absolutely wrong, and have watched Marky about the same amount as i have seen Woll.your totally wrong. Markstrom is absolutely legit and really good.he was 2nd allstar and vezina finalist,he has earned every penny and is underpaid.he is in the top 8 goalies in the league.

Re-Tool on the fly
I think the Leafs lost their opportunity to re-tool when they decided to not trade Marner in the summer. A major re-tool would require one of Marner, Matthews, Tavares, Nylander, or Rielly gets moved, somehow, somewhere.
I don't know which one would be the right one to move but it's the same team with the periphery players expected to make up the difference at bargain bin prices.

Van - Ana - NJD If Petey doesnt want to sign a multi year contract
Devils aren't hard buyers this year... they won't be moving guys like Holtz, Nemec, or Mercer. Even if they did, they would be trades for elite players. Gibson is considered a "starter" but not elite at this point. Goalie values are really hard to gauge, too.
Vancouver's not moving Pettersson unless you give them a top 3 pick. If he's indeed available, you're looking at a Tkachuk return. This just isn't near good enough. It's like yeah Huberdeau sucks now but he was a 115 point player when acquired (and he's a former top 3 pick).

Canucks playoff run
Campbell can't be bought until the offseason so this kind of becomes an offseason overhaul at the deadline doesn't make sense. If Van goes all in then only 2 guys I could see being moved out would be Tyler Myers and Kuzmenko.
Pittsburgh might get a better offer then that.
Nashville declines calls back and slams the phone down on you Fabbro for Garland is close to fair I would say small add would balance the trade out but Kemell is not that piece he's a former 1st round pick who is doing okay in getting acclimated to the North American game.
Edmonton deal doesn't make sense at the deadline this is probably best left to a rebuilding team or at the draft.
I think your value on Allen is probably fair but I think Montreal would hold off til the draft to see if a better off might materialize
As for the deals Chicago declines only 2 they be somewhat interested in is Kuzmenko and Silovs and I don't think they'd want to trade Murphy for them.

Assuming Lindholm and Hanifin will extend with Arizona it'll take quite a bit more than that to get them both. At minimum it'll take replacing all the picks with a pair of 1st round picks or young players/prospects worth that.

Van - Det Updated Blockbuster
Detroit is third in scoring 2 goals behind Colorado and six behind Vancouver. Both Colorado and Vancouver are play teams and Detroit isn't. So why would the trade one of the best RHDs in the league. Detroit is scoring just fine without Petterson. Yes Petterson is a top 10 center but Seider is a top 5 RHD and he's only 22. Now Petterson is more valuable than Larkin but Seider is a lot closer to Petterson's value than you think.

SjS - Tor Blackwoods crease in hogtown
Not knowing about the prospects, I hate this trade on the Sharks side for a few reasons, some of them dumb.
First of all, that's using up the Sharks' last retention slot for two years.
Second of all, the picks are third rounders and we're talking about the Sharks who have been horrendous throughout their entire history in the third round. With Linus Karlsson playing a handful of games for the Canucks and Daniil Gushchin playing a handful of games for the Sharks it MIGHT be turning around, but they've combined for seven games and before them the Sharks had five players in their entire history drafted in the third round to play any NHL time...and that includes a goalie who played forty minutes in his career. The best they've gotten out of the third round was Thomas Greiss. They've actually been more successful in the seventh round than in the third round, and that's by percentage rather than number of successful picks (since they've had a lot more seventh round picks than third).
Finally, Ryan Reaves is very hated in San Jose. Him not playing for FV anymore and Kane not playing in SJ anymore minimizes it a bit, but I'm definitely not alone among Sharks fans in disliking him. He was bad enough years ago that Sharks fans joked when he was suspended that his team should instead be forced to play him 20 minutes a night, and he's gotten older and not any better since then.
I know most of those reasons are dumb and as I said I don't know about the prospects so I'm not voting in the poll, but I'd probably turn it down for the reasons listed.

I agree the Canes don’t move Pesce, but a 1st, a very good RHD prospect, and a good 3rd liner is not a lackluster return for a pending UFA

Canucks 2024 cup chase
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IjustNEEDaTROYgamble</b></div><div>2-3 weeks
what would you do with the Canucks D?
I think they need to make a play for a RHD on a value contract like Chychrun or Carrier
but that's just me</div></div>
Personally, I dunno man. When healthy it's Hughes/Hronek, Zadorov/Myers, Cole/Soucy right? Who gets replaced? None of those guys will accept being a 7th D, so you'll have to send one of them away in an upgrade. Cole would be an expensive 7th D to have on the roster.
My opinion, go Hughes-Hronek 1st pair, Zadorov-Myers 3rd pair, and if they can, get a 2nd pair RD to play with Soucy when he's healthy. Cole as a 7. Juulsen, Friedman, Brisebois, etc injury depth.
OR, upgrade the forward lines, and hope that Cole, Soucy, Zadorov and Myers can run the bottom four D, and that Juulsen and those other guys will be enough depth.
Sean Walker could be a good addition, but the Flyers like him and he likes them, they could ask more than Vancouver is willing to pay for a UFA.
Hughes - Hronek
Soucy - Walker
Zadorov - Myers
Cole
