Move to the wing
Replace Broz, POJ, and the 3rd with a 1st. Top 3 protected at most; 2025 or 2026 is fine.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsFan33</b></div><div>I'm not very good at math but looking at the official stats on NHL.com, Monahan has 4 goals/16 assists and Savard has 4 goals/11 assists for a combined 8 goals and 27 pts 5v5. That's a little more than 19 pts combined.
I get that you don't like Montreal and/or Monahan or Savard but when using stats has the only deciding factor about the value of a player, you could at the very least use the correct stats.</div></div>
The game against the Bruins wasn't pretty, but Monahan's 3 points was one of the only positives.
I am not making the argument that Monahan is "as good" as Lindholm, but I find it funny how people on this site say Monahan is crap (while trying to trade for him) and Lindholm is easily worth the usual Center packages we see at the TDL.
Monahan has more goals and points per game than Lindholm at this point... He can be had for a fraction of the cost. I just don't get the hate.

Raty’s issue is speed, right? Talented but slow?</div></div>
No, he has very good foot speed and acceleration, plus he can play a 200 ft. game. Raty has been focusing on improving his consistency and defensive responsibilities in Abby this season, he'll be deployed against the other team's top lines and has looked good doing so. His consistency is the greatest challenge, but that's gotten better as the season as gone on and he's settled in.
I think he makes the Canucks next season as a 3c with Blueger likely gone.

The swap would probably be Campbell and 2 firsts for Elvis. Elvis holds no value and jack has been reported to be about 2 firsts to move.
It makes more sense for Edmonton to buy out jack next off season but a mid season trade would look like this most likely

Not gonna waste my time here. He's as good as he ever been and we will gladly keep him if we don't get the right price. You can stop bringing up getting him for cheap now.

First Game Lineup Predictions

Farrell would benefit playing in Laval judging by how he looked last year and I don’t think anyone will trade for Armia or Hoffman even with retention unless Habs add draft picks which is unlikely imo</div></div>
I don't think its a long year at all!
The expectations are on the floor and as long as most of the team stays healthy, it'll be fun to see the bright spots of each developing asset on the team. Let them develop some chem, see what it takes to be a dominant NHLer, and take time building a real contender. Most Habs fans who've been paying close attention for the last 20 years, should be sick of the lack of urgency to improve the team - and riding a hot goalie or stars, without a true identity in the league. This coming era for Habs hockey will be scary - enjoy the lack of pressure for now!

So many wingers who need to play. There might be a guy like Byron or Hoffman sent down cause of the logjam in Montreal too. Just helps finding spots if Slavs plays another year in Europe</div></div>
i don't think him going back to finland is an option lately. i would prefer him being in a good laval team an being an important piece then him going back to finland (where he didn't have alot of good moments). plus if there's injuries/trades in mtl he can move up and go to the big club.

Go make the team with the retained salary, Pezetta and Schueneman to the minors, would yield a cap hit of $82,489,166..... yes, it's below the cap.
Keeping only Price on LTIR.
So, to reiterate, Habs will have the cap space.</div></div>
ugh.... I forgot how obnoxious 99% of the internet is.
I literally did a mock ACGM, and doing this deal, dumping Lavoie, Schueneman, and the Pez in the minors... only rolling at 21 man roster... gives the Habs just below $11k in "cap space"....
If you live in reality, Hughes won't risk not having enough cap space to do call ups to cover injuries (and there will be more than just one at a time during the season). so Habs will be rolling more than a 21 man roster..... hence..
They won't have the cap, and they most certainly won't put themselves in a $11k cap for freakin Tyson Barrie... not to mention taking on an additional year of his contract as opposed to Drouin being UFA at the end of this year.
