<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Random2152</b></div><div>No and none of those moves are questionable.

100% agree
He got rid of Lou's mess in Zaitsev and sure we lost brown but we only need to deal with GARBAGE CECI for a year. And Marleau wasnt even his contract again it was Lou's. If i was them I would have payed marleau more to take less term.
And as for Kadri, he did it to himself. Got suspended twice in 2 years of playoffs against boston. If he acted accordingly and didnt do that he would have still been here. In general if Barrie and Kerfoot played like they did in Colorado nobody would be complaining but it just didnt happen. I still think kerfoot will bounce back but barrie is better off going to a team like calgary.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nhl_oilers</b></div><div>What is that supposed to mean?? The trade is horrible for Edmonton.</div></div>
Of course it is because Johnsson isn't an NHLer despite being a good one, Dermott isn't going to pan out apart from him already looking like a top 4 at the age of 23 and the 3rd is just an insult for a guy who isn't much better than Johnsson in AA and Pulli who is a 1st round bust. According to Edmonton fans, Pulli is definitely a future allstar that will never play for them so he better bring back at least a 1st round pick and AA is definitely resigning for 3 million or less and will put up 30+ goals because of all his proven track record of 1 good season of 30 goals and the rest of his career being 30 point player.

Ok then do
Hyman-JT-Nylander
Hall-Matthews-Marner
Keep Matthews and Marner together tho they were great this year, and Willy doesnt play LW (Often) and Hyman doesnt play RW

Look up all your favorite Defenceman/Best Defensemen to play the game and see where they were drafted - very few were top 10 picks - drafting Dmen in the top 10 is and has always been risky

CBO's still cost actual money, they just don't count against the cap. Buying out Bobrovsky's contract this offseason will cost US $47.5M over the next 12 years.

Toronto
A dallas fan posted something similar a month ago and it was a much better. In general this is to much going back to dallas.
I believe it was (Faksa + Honka + Klingberg + Robertson) for (Nylander + Liligren + Engvall and Malgin)
<a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1722202">https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1722202</a> <--Made suggestions on how it was fixed as that was an overpayment on Dallas side. Cause a 1st would not being going back to toronto and instead toronto would probs be sending the 1st.

I don't love trading our future top 2 centers, but I admit Marner is and will be better than both of them. Nothing else in the deal really fascinates me though. Fun idea for sure.

I mean the other option keep gudas send sandin down for some more development and lethtonen is paired with Gudas. Cause one could argue sandin is NHL ready others could say he needs more seasoning in the AHL and in 2021 he can come back. To me I feel sometimes he is overwhelmed due to his smaller size. It may benefit him in the long run to have a little more time as the top pairing guy of the marlies.

I am saying he had a disappointing season and because of that along with other factors such as not having arb rights his contract should be a lower AAV. He is a good player with lots of potential BUT having a disappointing contract year (no matter the reasons) means you should/will get a lower AAV on a contract. This is also compounded by the stoppage and the cap issues that come along with that</div></div>
Agree with majority of this, but that makes it highly unlikely dermott takes 2 years at that discount rate, i also still don't see him taking less than $1.5M, but who knows what the new NHL looks like next season.

Question
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jameshgfgn</b></div><div>See the thing with that is the wolves are an independently owned team that just have agreements with NHL teams where a team like the Marlies are owned by the leafs so they pay for everything and have complete control over them where you don’t with the Wolves and they are saying that teams like the Wolves (independently owned teams) would not play next year because of cost. I just could not see the NHL telling the leafs and other teams to take on other teams prospects let them take up roster spots, pay for it all and get nothing out of it. If I was the leafs I would tell them to go to hell. But I see what you are getting at</div></div>
Excellent point. Then I guess we will just have to wait and find out. But there is a low chance that nhl teams will be screwed because of this (be it needing to play underdeveloped players or trading them away)

How can Colorado weaponise 5m in unused capspace next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jameshgfgn</b></div><div>Don’t think jost gets that big of a return</div></div>
Jost is a tough one. I think you may be right about that this off season. However I do think Jost can be a solid 2nd line player for a team that scores 40-45 pts. His skill set hasn’t changed from when he was the 10th overall selection imo the Avs messed his development up, when what he really needed at the beginning of his career was a year in the AHL, and some consistency in his role. Instead because the Avs were coming off the 48pt season he was forced, well there wasn’t a lot of other options, into the NHL and he bounced up and down the line up because all the sudden they were a playoff team. This season particularly after the new year he seemed to find a consistent role, started killing penalties and looked a lot better.

Gauthier is a better NHLer than Andersson. Just keep Gauthier and trade Kerfoot for what you can if you need cap space..
Kings don't do that deal. That can keep their first..a 1million dollar player, and then spend 6m on a UFA instead of acquiring 4 years of Nylander.

Price went from a .923 to a .900. And also, I know I said 'you', but I was more referencing the GM's. Do you truly believe that there isn't a GM out there that would be willing to offer him a 4x5?
