<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jukesy</b></div><div>Bye buddy....hope you find your daaaaaaaad.
Overall. Pretty realistic. I think the only thing I'd change is they'd keep Geno at Center. I agree he should move to wing for Trocheck but it wouldn't happen.
I think the selecting of Miro is great. I also really think you nailed your terms and aavs on signings. Only one I'd change is I think they can get Kap back slightly cheap. 2.2 to 2.6 range.</div></div>
It’s really just however much Kappy would be fine with, without going to arbitration. I think we should keep him, now that the season has been done for a while and I have had time to let things sit, his skill set is too good and we gave up so much to get him and he was great last year.
I think miro is the kind of high risk guy that we need to take, just hope Putin doesn’t poison him if he tries to leave the country. His up side is crazy for 21OA. Sure there is risk, but if he stays healthy and someone puts a bullet in putins then this kid could be potting 40 goals on Sid’s line in 3 years.
I put troch at Center just to show it was an option. My last one I had both and put Malkin at Center and everyone told me they would only want troch to play Center as a geno replacement but I think we can have both and either one can play Center.

The way it’s trending I think he has a decent chance of being available, he would be tie for who I’d want the most of players that are realistically available

Blockbuster
Sharks decline, they are in zero position to move Timo so that gives them all the leverage in a trade. Like with the DeBrincat situation in Chicago, if they don’t get an offer that’s an overpay and they know they confidently win, simple, they decline.

Realistic Offseason July 2nd Rumours
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jukesy</b></div><div>So I see McGinn and a 1st straight up for Debrusk as an overpayment, and I also think although Boston is entering a retool, I dont think they wanna be giving up Roster players for prospects just yet. I think at least McGinn gives them a roster player that is useful to them and could fill in on their left side. Plus they get the first they liekly want for debrusk. A first if your Pittsburgh you are hoping is a very late one.
I think you could take out one of the picks boston is sending and it would be decent value still for pit but if you take out both picks I dont think its a fair deal. Debrusk is solid but he's not a roster player plus a 1st solid.</div></div>
You are my Pens offseason soulmate ❤

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jukesy</b></div><div>How much more value wise do you think they'd want. I saw multiple people do a 2nd and 3rd for him. I've seen a few people overpay and do like a first and a high end prospect. What more would you add from a Pens perspective.</div></div>
More so about McGinn and the picks comjng back. Take their picks coming back to us out and McGinn and maybe throw in Hallander. 1st + Hallander + late pick could probably get a deal done. But I don’t think DeBrusk is going anywhere it seems like over time his trade request has slowly diminished away

I think a lot of the problems with Debrusk were with Cassidy, but now that he’s gone idk if there are still problems. I could see debrusk being a target but I wouldn’t move a first for him. I would maybe offer a 2nd, a 3rd and McGinn. I would also want to give him a look on Crosby’s line and try a guentzel-Malkin-rust line - just to try it and shake things up, could always go back if it doesn’t work.
Overall this is very well thought out and I agree with basically everything else. If the Debrusk thing doesn’t work out, I could see Marchment or Vatrano being options in UFA

CBJ say no on that trade.
Jenner is simply unavailable and re-signing Laine long term is the top preference. Value wise, Columbus would want much more for those two and they would get it.

solid team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jukesy</b></div><div>I'm from Moose Jaw. I've seen Mateychuk play live many times. I will say this, with the exception of Brayden Point. I cant remember a better player in my lifetime. I'm not one to call certain hometown guys elite because of my bias either. I was quick to call Brett Howden a bad pick in the first round cause I'd seen him play live enough to know. Same with Brayden Tracey (however the jury is still out on him cause he is young). I will say this. Mateychuk should be a top 15 pick, at least. He is the best Moose Jaw warrior i have ever seen, if he slides to 21 and we grab him I will literally scream with Joy. He is a left handed kris letang I promise you. His questions about defending ability are non-existent to me. I watched him absolutely shutdown Connor Geekie and Matty Savoie every time they were on the ice with him, yes I know Winnipeg won that playoff series but I promise you, those two "elite" guys were never effective when Mateychuk was on them.</div></div>
I feel the same way about Mateychuk. Kid is a stud

honestly this is pretty realistic, the only thing i would change is that Sam Poulin should be and probably will be in the NHL next year and he would take domi's spot on this roster. this team is also left with 0 cap space and i believe the front office wants some freedom of cap for the trade deadline. This is very similar to my mock offseason and i don't hate your moves at all.

You are making the massive assumption that the playoff type player in Ben Chiarot would want to go to a team that isn’t going to make the playoffs for atleast the next year.

Heinen isn't an interesting enough piece to move Savoie for. I'd say it's unlikely that he'd be a target in the first place but, if he is, then the best you'd be looking at is Lavoie or Tullio.

Risky
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jukesy</b></div><div>So the plan is.
Replace Pettersson with POJ.
Rodrigues and Kapanen with some combination of Zohorna/DOC/Nylander/Bjorkvist.
Bank on Zucker's health.
And bank on Heinen repeating his production from last year.
This is exactly what you titled it. Risky. I don't hate it actually...
I think POJ could do what Pettersson does, but I REALLY think we should move Dumo instead.
Im hopeful Heinen could be solid again and I like the price tag for him. To me its not a stretch to think he could repeat what he did last year if you give him 82 games with Geno and Rakell/Rust instead of a mishap of random linemates like last year.
I REALLY think Zohorna needs to see NHL time. I actually like him better than DOC. I think its realistic to think 2 of Poulin, Zohorna, DOC, Nylander, Hallander, Bjorkvist, or hell even Legare could be solid bottom 6 players. You only need 2 of them to hit right.
The thing that REALLY scares me here is Zucker. I do not think his health will hold up. I am not willing to bank on it. I'd rather trade him. Spend his 5.5 mil tag on a better 2nd line LW, and then move Heinen to the 3rd line. Other than that. I actually really like this roster. Its risky but I honestly believe in it, I think its realistic too..</div></div>
I think it is realistic as well. Could be risky but if Sid doesn’t get injured in a big point of winning in a playoff series, we should be fine. I feel it could possibly be risky because running it back with a team that blew a 3-1 lead sounds like it makes no sense but it feels different with this team. It’s hard not to make excuses but when you got your star player, another top 6 winger, your nhl goalies, and a shut down defencemen out with injuries. It can be hard to win a series. So I’m banking on the health of the line up which really makes it risky
