Surveying the People
Are people complaining about trading him to DET? I find that it's one of the more acceptable recurring trades found on this site (and certainly better than the Petry to Detroit for Zadina and a 2nd lol)

Bratt just entering prime ( soon 24) and still on RFA / under team control... Miller well out of prime years (30 next season), UFA on horizon after next season. Bratt fits the age bracket Fitzgerald has publicly stated is his core target group (Hischier/Hughes). Both players had career years, but from Bratt seems to be the ascending player in possession. I just dont see why NJ would do this ... just to get more size?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Knuckl3s</b></div><div>Miller is still the better player, Bratt is unlikely to ever be as complete a player as Miller is, and Miller receiving an Albatross contract is not a foregone conclusion until it happens</div></div>
He’s quickly turning into a PPG player and is still only 23 I believe. No reason to believe he doesn’t continue to improve especially as the devils mature and get better talent around him.
If there’s no agreed to extension idk why the Devils would even think about trading for Miller. And with an extension I still don’t understand the logic of signing Miller long term over Bratt. Maybe Miller is better than Bratt for 1 more year? Two tops? And then what. I get that you’re a nucks fan but have to be realistic about this one.

Why would devils give away the the young emerging top line talent to buy high on a really good player that is likely going to have a really poorly aging contract? They can just sign Bratt to an 8 year deal with roughly the same overall value as that Miller extension and keep their pick.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>Stutzle could play on his wing.</div></div>
I doubt Stutzle will ever play another shift on the wing. At least not for a while
If injuries don't derail anything, Ottawa's center line could be set for a long time
1A- Tim Stutzle
1B- Josh Norris
2- Shane Pinto
4- Mark Kastelic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>JBD probably doesn't leap Hamonic until late in the season. Zaitsev may be tough to move. At least that was the thought with the suggested trade.</div></div>
Sens really don't want/need to rush JBD. Keep in mind less hockey has been played the last 2 years with Covid. JBD only played 58 AHL games so far... he's still 21 y/o and he's a D-man
And yeah, Sens might be stuck with Zaitsev unless they accept to lose money (like retaining or send him to the AHL)l. I wouldn't mind if he was the 7th D-man until further notice. There's always injuries and it wouldn't be bad depth

The only difference was team control but if you half retain Brown that that is an enormous asset that the buyer would be getting. Brown is very similar to these players in the Sens that he is strong defensively with a little bit of offense that would be great in the playoffs.</div></div>
no argument, but the cost to get a guy like that is higher than i would ant to pay. not bashing him or the value.

I think that the most likely way that Kakko gets to Ottawa is in a trade for a half retained Connor Brown especially if this is in the offseason.
So like:
TO OTT
Kakko
Kravtsov
TO NYR
C. Brown.</div></div>
That don't sound bad to me tbh. I personally just don't know how good Kakko really is and if he's got 2nd line potential, bc that's what we kinda need. We don't need to acquire anymore 3rd line talent even if we send off Brown

Sens do not need Eller at all, and the whole reason they traded for Joseph was to bet on his untapped potential, which he immediately highlighted in Ottawa. They won't trade him until they know what they have

But otherwise I don't think Pasta is traded.</div></div>
i could see boston trying to compete 1 more year, most likely pasta extends this summer and hopefully bergy and krech come back, then win the cup or not both C's retire and i could see boston talking to pasta if he wants to stick for the long haul or if he wants to compete im gonna say if a trade does happen it's most likely in the 23-24 offseason.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JustanIdea</b></div><div>I don't think Ottawa trades for Pastranak. They probably wait to get him in FA if he does want out and that deal would involve an extension.
Murray trade is really for anything as long as the Leafs eat a bit of the salary.
That Arizona trade is not bad because while they get a lower cap for two years he is an defenseman that could have a little bit of value and would be able to shelter their young players. His M-NTC blocks that trade though.
That Chicago trade is pretty pointless but Mete and Abromov probably don't play but Abramov is much more valuable than that if you can get him back to NA.
Edmonton trade is to get rid of Kassian but Ottawa would decline.</div></div>
the whole pastrnak wanting to leave boston is blown way out of proportion
1. the athletic article by fluto was a false made up statement
2. Elliotte Friedman and JP Barry(Pastrnak's agent) both confirmed sweeney and pastrnak are meeting in july to work on an extension
3. Why would Pastrnak have been trying to recruit krecji back to boston when they were playing team Czech together if he was just gonna leave or request a trade. also Krecji hated cassidy so cassidy being fired probably increases the chance krech comes back to boston which would make pasta happy
4. all this is blown out of proportion because BNH posted and article saying if bergy retires then it's time for boston to rebuild and pastrnak would be a good trade chip to speed up our rebuild and acquire top tier assets. Not once though did that article state pastrnak wanted to leave or hated the bruins organization. All that happened is that websites like the ATHLETIC rely heavily on clickbait and made up their own sh*t about the situation like media always does and 90% of the time don't actually have reliable information, Fluto especially is the worst for sh*tty takes and clickbait posts
