<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sh51_aa</b></div><div>2 Things to this:
- You're not "throwing away" the pick when you're picking up a player you can insert into your line up. After all, you still need players to play for you.
- With inflated priced at the trade deadline you're probably going to be able to get more back than you spent in the first place.</div></div>
With that logic New Jersey can just trade him away at the TDL. Also, we can get players in other ways, without giving up picks. We can probably even get players and picks at the same time.

I'd be interested in something around 5th OA for Chychrun, as a Coyotes fan. He wants out and at #5 we can get Nemec or Jiricek.

Arizona probably take Mrazek for a 2nd+, but we aren't trading Crouse in a deal like this.

Why do all Devils' AGM have Johnsson for Arizona's 3rd? Makes no sense for Arizona. We aren't throwing away our picks. If anything, we are looking for more.

All in next year
Arizona aren't retaining on Chychrun. The value also favours Columbus considerably.
With that said, I do think the teams are good trading partners. Either 6th OA and a small add (less likely in my mind) or 12th OA and a bigger add (which seems more likely).

Jackets 22-23
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kev22</b></div><div>In my mind, I believe that Jarmo is going to trade the 6th pick for an immediate, significant defensive upgrade. Chychrun makes huge sense, but as we've found with Jarmo, he will surprise you. With Korpisalo re-signed today, the GAA problem in JK/JD's minds is on the defense. Losing Jones and Savard was a massive blow to the defense and this offseason now becomes critical to reset, rebuild, retool, whatever you want to call it.</div></div>
Jarmo does surprise you, haha! He's a good GM. Also interesting to hear your thoughts. I agree with you that Chychrun makes sense for Columbus. I would really like 6th OA. In a perfect world, Nemec or Jiricek are still on the board. Otherwise, Arizona can pick Cutter Gauthier.
In terms of value I'd guess Chychrun for the pick straight up is more or less fair. Top 10 picks are valuable, top 5 even more so. Maybe Columbus needs to add a little bit, but not too much. I actually think your proposal as it stands now favours Arizona.

Haha, me too! It always turns out quiet, but I agree that a lot could happen this summer. I can't wait!

Arizona didn't acquire all those picks to trade them away. If anything, we are looking for more picks. That trade doesn't make sense for us.

Do you think Columbus would be open to giving up 6th OA for Chychrun? That makes for a really interesting asset and in my mind makes you front runners.

It's going to be really interesting to see how everything falls out. It really is an open field this year.

Arizona didn't acquire all its picks to trade them away. We'll get our players in other ways, most likely as cap dumps like last summer.

I'd gladly accept that package for Schmaltz, but don't see Columbus offering that much. 12th OA should be traded for Chychrun, if anything.

I see where you're coming from. I just think there's little difference between the top 3 forwards and Arizona will gladly accept whoever falls to them. There's no need for us to lose 2 additional picks to move up one spot. Just my take, though. If Arizona really wanted to move up, they seem to like Wright. In that case its to number one.

Acquiring Chychrun and Crouse
As a Coyotes fan, I would be open to do something around 5th OA for Chychrun. I have been thinking about that myself. According to Seravalli, Chychrun has informed Arizona that he isn't coming back and we are trying to accomodate that. 5th OA would allow us to draft Nemec or Jiricek.

trading down because we cant have nice things
Where are the rumours coming from about Arizona wanting to move up? It wouldn't surprise me, as Bill Armstrong seemed very disappointed in not getting 1st OVR in the presser after the lottery. The only prospect he named was Wright, so they probably really like him, knowing the can't get him now.

If I'm Arizona, and as a fan, I would try to get NJD's 1st or the CHI 1st from Columbus for Chychrun. That way we could have two of Wright/Slavkovsky/Cooley and Nemec/Jiricek. Maybe a dream, but I think it's realistic.

With the 1st being the higher of the two picks, this is one of the best offers I've seen for Chychrun. Well done OP. I wonder about Cuelemans. I'd much rather have him than Bean. The base of one of your 2022 1sts and Cuelemans is probably the most intriguing package I've seen.
How do you feel about 2022 first (lowest of Chicago and Columbus) + Cuelemans + something else (for example Foudy)?

Good Chychrun trade. I'd still want Faber, even if Durzi looks good, in order to accept. In that case Kupari can be dropped for something else as well. Vilardi, Faber and 1st is minimum I'd want from LA.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>If it is Drury instead of Suzuki, it doesn’t happen. Drury is better than Suzuki, and more than likely already has a roster spot for next year. The only reason I would trade Necas is because with Jarvis emerging this year, Necas really doesn’t have any room in the top 6 as a RW, at least if Turbo is playing RW. The Domi addition also complicates things, as Domi can also play RW. At this point, the best package you might get from Carolina is Necas, Bokk, Suzuki, and a first.</div></div>
I see your point. Drury is definitely better, that's why I want him instead. The package is good, but I'd rather have someone else than Suzuki.

That's a lot of assets for Chychrun. Still a no from Arizona. There needs to be quality. We already have quantity. Unless it's Clarke+ or Vilardi + Faber as a base, it's a no. Players like Turcotte, Grans or Durzi aren't going to cut it. They are good assets, but not good enough to get Chychrun.

Off-season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>I would really hate to trade Necas, but if he doesn’t ramp up his scoring for the rest of the season, there are better options available. As long as Jarvis and Morrow stay out of trade talks, I don’t mind. But Necas, Suzuki, Bokk (as a throw in), and a first(2024), would be a package the Canes might offer, solely depending on how the rest of Necas’ season goes. Necas would get a bigger opportunity in Arizona, one that he might not have in Carolina. Between Turbo, Jarvis, and Necas, the Canes have 3 RW that are fighting for top 6 minutes, and while Turbo can play his off wing, the Canes would prefer him on his natural side. I would hate to lose Skjei, but Chychrun is an upgrade.</div></div>
I'd really want Jarvis and Morrow, but I've also been a huge fan of Necas since his draft. Despite some struggles this season, I'd love to have him. Necas, Suzuki, 1st and Bokk is the best offer I've seen so far for Chychrun. Probably because I see so much potential in him.
Would you still do the trade if it was Drury instead of Suzuki?
