Imagine this when the playoffs come around
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chopper02</b></div><div>If we're keeping it internally then I think Blais or Kyrou is best. I still think we're going to need to improve our "middle 6" just so we're not so reliant on one or two lines a night until playoff time. We've seen how the Bruins struggled with it after a hot start</div></div>
Our depth is solid but yeah I would love to add a LW to play alongside O'Reilly and Perron, Kreider makes a lot of sense.

He doesn't belong on the 2nd line though. Neither does Steen really, and I'd hate to remove the chemistry between Bozak and Thomas.</div></div>
Then who would you have 2nd line winger other than Sunny? Unless there is a trade I think he is the best option, I cant stand Steen or Sanford there. Maybe Blais if he comes back and is plalying well or if Kyrou can stay maybe him.

Hall To Edm - Wood For TVR
that is an over payment for Hall and Vatanen even if both of them weren't rentals.
Drop Nurse and Vatanen. Hall for Puljujarvi, Yammamoto and a 2nd that becomes a 1st if he resigns.
Blues do not want Simmonds
Wood for TVR is fine value.

Can this team Contend for the Cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oilnate</b></div><div><a href="/users/MNBassman" target="_blank">@MNBassman</a> told me he'd do it and I've had a few Wild fans say they would, although in fairness it probably does not happen because Zucker has a NTC</div></div>
Quality just is not there in the Wild trade in my opinion.
Zucker for 2nd, Yamamoto and JP seems fair but would think Wild want a 1st not 2nd.
Donato for Samorukov and taking on Gagner and Chaisson... no chance.

Should Johnsson be traded
I saw a similar post yesterday Bortuzzo and Barbashev for Johnsson seems pretty solid. Maybe Blues also add a 3rd at most. But with all the Blues injuries I do not see them moving multiple players for one at this time.

Oshie take 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>Even at that, why would the Leafs move a 23 year old for a 32 year old? The 9 year age difference makes any trade involving Oshie for Nylander bad. Unless it was something like Oshie and Carlsson for Nylander and Ceci, which of course is a bad trade for Washington to make. The point is, a 9 year difference between Oshie and Nylander makes it a terrible proposition for the Leafs unless there is some sort of massive sweatener.</div></div>
agreed, I never said it was a good trade just saying if for whatever reason they decided to do it this would be more what it looks like.

No thanks from the Blues perspective for Parayko. Would have to be a massive over payment or something with better players to get the Blues to move Parayko.

it would be more like Nylander for Oshie and either a top prospect or a 1st rounder.

true so like I said before the Blues probably would not make the trade. But someone will offer TOR more than what Ottawa got for Stone. TOR is under the cap they can make it work with Nylander there is no leverage, sure moving him would clear space but again they dont HAVE to like Ottawa did, otherwise Stone was walking for nothing.
But I dont really think TOR wants Dunn maybe a Faulk and 2nd for Nylander is more likely.

Mark Stone only received a good prospect and 2 seconds with an extension and he’s way better than Nylander.</div></div>
Well for 1 Ottawa is dumb and 2 that was a deadline move and Ottawa was clearly moving Stone and had to get the best offer they could. TOR does not HAVE to move Nylander and it would cost more, Blues have no leverage like Vegas did.

Something Ive been thinking about for awhile Pittsburgh fans
Yeah his value is not high but that package does not have anything Pittsburgh would be willing to move him for. Like others have said he has been hurt and they haven't even really seen what he brings and I think they like him with Malkin who has also been hurt. Probably not going to move him during the season.

yes they would. Also Dunn is not two way at all, Pietrangelo is two way, Dunn is not good defensively without the puck.
the trade would be more like Dunn and Kyrou for Nylander.
But in saying all of that the Blues will probably look at Nylanders cap hit and would rather keep Dunn and see how Kyrou turns out hoping he is a similar player to Nylander for cheaper.
And Steen will not waive for Ottawa.

These are atrocious for the two team without a Leaf in their name.
Minny trade swap Johnsson for Nylander and they might consider it... might.
Rangers trade is not all that far off but TOR would need to add a 2nd at the very least.
