Kreider to Philly
Rangers don’t need a LHD that can’t play defence or a forward who’s injury prone and has no timetable for return. I wouldn’t mind Patrick on the team but not for that. I’d want konecy but don’t see how flyers would part ways for with him unless it was an overpayment.

Nolan has not suited up due to long term migraine issues... even now no time table for return.
Sub Kreider out and add Lias Andersson.... atleast hes a healthy underperforming top 10 pick.

cost for kreider is a 1st and a prospect.. why would rangers trade the top rental available for another rental?

Same goes for NY... they would not be able to even sign Sergachev and Cirelli.... same problem TB has with them.
AND you think NY gives up a 1st??!!??!

Its like saying "id take Hughes 9 out of 10 times of Kakko"... it was actually much closer at the draft than people thought.</div></div>
The problem is that of the top Rangers prospects not playing in the NHL, most are Dmen. Like, per Scott Wheeler of the Athletic, 5 of the Rangers Top 6 prospects and 9 of the Top 14 are Dmen

Most feasible Kreider-to-STL trade I've ever seen on here, but I'd imagine some other team will top that offer.

quick quick come tell me how neither of these trades work
The first trade doesn't work bc you're getting an unconditional first from a fringe playoff team for a rental, an the second one doesn't work bc both teams think they're "bust" has a ton of value bc he was a high pick, but refuse to apply that logic to the other teams "bust" and just call him a bust

Tampa is far from desperate since we don't even know how long McD will be out. Furthermore, Tampa is never trading their 1st for AA, that's horrible for Tampa. The bolts don't need a high prices rental LD, and I doubt NJ would trade him for less than a 1st anyway. DeMelo is interesting, but this trade is an overpay. I'd rather package the TBL 1st+3rd+1 of Smith/Conacher/Martel+Thomas for JGP+DeMelo+5th or 1st+3rd+Joseph for Pageau+DeMelo+4th or 5th. At least if Tampa is trading their 1st they can package it to up grade top 9 depth plus RD depth for the playoffs.

Get Freddie back in net and you're not even going to make the playoffs. The Rangers are still rebuilding and outplayed them almost all game. Freddie would have made ZERO difference. Kreider, Mika and Buchnevich outplayed your whole team.

you could send us Nylander and Kapanen and the answer is still no. Fox is a budding star RHD. While his offensive point total are not as high as Makar or Hughes, his metrics are a lot better. Trouba or ADA could be expendable

Operating New York Nylander and Sandin
So I'm going to try to not be insulting in my reply to this ACGM.
I think that you have a bit of an over-inflated sense of the value on both Fox and Georgiev. The main reason I think your value is a little high on both these players is that neither of them are completely proven commodities yet. Proposed trades on here involving Georgiev seem to forget that we're only 60% of the way through his second full NHL season. That's a small sample size for any player and particularly so for a goalie. Georgiev is promising but not on the level that most NYR fans (and apparently the NYR management) think he is. FFS he's a career 0.913SV% and 3.02GAA that's not world-beating by any stretch. He should fetch you guys a late first/early 2nd and a B prospect. Similar problem with Fox, he's a rookie, he's having a great season don't get me wrong but that doesn't mean much. 50 games is a VERY small sample size. Also Fox has straight up refused to play for other teams he wants to be a NYR.
In this Leafs trade you're proposing to send the Leafs two good but not all star players.
Sandin I think has relatively equal value to Fox right now a highly touted rookie defender who is having a good season so far. I don't think the Leafs should trade Sandin but I'll admit a Sandin for Fox swap would be relatively fair on value. Now Nylander (inhales deeply) would be 2nd on the NYR in scoring if traded right now. Would most likely play top-line RW. A Bread Man, Z, Nylander line would be absolutely dirty so I get the want here. Nylander is also, for all the talk of his contract, on a pretty team-friendly contract. Of players on contracts worth 6.5-7.5mil (Nylander basically makes 7) he is 6th in PPG out of 30 players and is 3rd in points among the same group. He's on pace for 38 goals and 74 points and you're telling me he's worth Georgiev, really?
The value proposed in that Leafs trade is ludicrous.

you will likely need to retain on Kreider no matter the destination - but all in all, they seem reasonable enough returns. I'm still not convinced Strome gets a 1st though - adding the 3rd helps at least.

Kreider DeAngelo and Georgiev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurgerBoss</b></div><div>Saves NYR money in the long run. Everyone knows that the reason why DeAngelo is moved so often in these AGMs is because NYR has a money trouble with re-signing him after a stellar season... They have pretty low leverage at the moment.
TOR could add a pick if necessary...</div></div>
Except that's not true. Rangers have 14 mil coming off the cap after this season, and Lemiex & DeAngelo are the only "must signs". Kreider's contract alone coming off the books pays for DeAngelo's raise. Next offseason (not the approaching one, the one after), Lundqvist, Staal, & Smith's expiry adds another 18.5 mil in space

Name one player atop TSN's trade bait list that hasn't gotten a 1st round pick.. even as a rental... i'll give a pretty decent wavelength on the prospect (Galchenyuk is a pending UFA having a terrible season and doesn't count) but the 1st rounder will have to be a necessity. Especially if there are 8 teams really gunning for kreider
The only one I can think of was Stone, but not only was he resigned by Vegas after the deal, he got Brannstrom (a top 25 prospect) and a 2nd round pick. I think that's a lot more than a late 1st rounder and a b prospect..

Do people think last year's market (with arguably 8 UFA top 6 F's) is indicative of trade values this year?
People are in for a surprise lol.
We're merely 2 years removed from an oft-injured Rick Nash at 33 making 7+mil putting up a worse scoring rate than Kreider returning a 1st + recent 2nd round pick + middle 6 player
LeBrun has the return as 1st AND Kyrou. 1st + Hallander is the low end of the return lol.
