I wouldn't be shocked to see Ilya try to get out of LA before the end of this season. This is not what he signed up for, playing 3rd line minutes with some scrubs</div></div>
Kovy is 4th among forwards in ATOI? Not sure how that equates to 3rd line minutes. Sure he's been away from his usual spot with Carter and Toff, but at the same time I wouldn't call Kempe 'some scrub' either. Kids pretty decent.
If the Panarin camp is really looking for a paycheck of 10-10.5 million after this season, I'm not 100% sure St. Louis would be able to fit that, though crazier things have happened lately in the NHL lol. It's really gonna be a wait and see kind of thing with that. There's a number of markets out there that match his wants.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>Murray is a boss, you don't win back to back cups if you are a terrible goalie.</div></div>
Cups don't determine player skill at all lmao. By that logic Derrick Pouliot is better than the vast majority of your Leafs squad.
Murray is just another Jake Allen type of goalie. I hope for Rutherford's sake that Murray doesn't become another Nylander.

A New King in the Crease
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>If Quick goes anywhere, it's likely going to be to Seattle in the expansion draft. It's worth keeping him around for that reason alone, since making Quick available would distract them from going after a young forward or defenseman instead.</div></div>
Let's just say for this hypothetical scenario that Necas stays in the AHL once he comes to LA and Luff and Wagner play the mandatory games required over this year and next year, and that Seattle gets their draft for the expected 2020-21 season.
Because its rumoured that the Seattle draft will use the same rules as the Vegas draft, this would exclude most of our young players that are worth protecting, even if they all made the NHL in the 2019-20 season (Clague, Brickley, Kupari, Thomas, Vilardi, Anderson-Dolan, etc.)
With that in mind, this is the likely protection list if every player listed above remains with the Kings until the draft:
Forwards:
Anze Kopitar (NMC)
Ilya Kovalchuk (NMC)
Jeff Carter
Tyler Toffoli
Adrian Kempe
Alex Iafallo
And say, Matt Luff for the 7th forward
Defencemen:
Drew Doughty (NMC)
Dion Phaneuf (NMC)
Jake Muzzin
And that would leave Cal Petersen for the goalie
This would leave Austin Wagner, Michael Amadio, Jonny Brodzinski, Jack Campbell, Alec Martinez, Trevor Lewis, etc as the most desirable players available, and trading to protect Wagner and Amadio wouldn't be too tough I would think.

SHOTGUN JAKE BABY
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McFaksaGOAT</b></div><div>I’m not too sure exactly, but probably high because he is a 1st round pick in 2017. I think he was the first goalie taken in that draft. But me personally I’d say him and Colton Point have very high values</div></div>
I was curious because I’d seen there’s a possibility he might hold out for free agency. With Bishop and Khudobin in the big leagues and Point already signed his contract, he might consider it. Not sure on your opinion on that though.

~4M off the books for this upcoming offseason isn’t ideal for the big picture? Hagelin also gives Kempe someone better to play with, that’ll match his pace. It’s not a bad deal for LA by any means, but of course I’d prefer Pearson to Hagelin any day on the overall roster.

Pearson Trade
Wasn’t about “winning” the trade short term for LA. This was about opening up some cap manoeuvrability, which by trading a guy who was doing nothing for us for someone who might do something for us, I’d say it works out well for both parties.

Honestly Murray is on a similar level as Jake Allen. Passes the eye test of a great goalie, but the numbers say otherwise. Both look better than they are due to their respective team’s success.

UNREALISTIC! DUBAS ISN'T TRADING NYLANDER!
In all seriousness I wouldn't think Columbus takes that unless they're basically confirmed out of the race, just given that moving Panarin with no real "now" replacement would be a major blow to their offence, plus I don't think Roy or Johnsson will ever be on a similar level at all. Rework that package with a better replacement and you might have a decently realistic trade on your hands.

You <strong>might</strong> get a 1st for the pair if someone is desperate enough, but there's no way anyone is coughing up two 1sts for a former 6th overall pick that can't crack the top 6 in Vancouver, or for a defenceman that a) can't come over before 2020-2021, and b) isn't even guaranteed to come over, and I'm sure him leaving in the first place won't help his value either.
