Now here why this deal doe snot work, for I do not the 200th time.
Petry while a good player is 34, rebuilding clubs never, if the GM wants to keep his job trade 24 to for 34 to who make more money, and coming off a bad season. And do not bring g up in 2020/21 he played great. That was two years ago and he was 32. Age is a **** and will catch up to most sooner or later.
Montreal has cap issues. Why would Wings help with that?
Hronek other than +- had better stats last year.

Poehling is not a trade chip, his is a throw in.

Wings already have two 2nd round picks.

Wings need LHD and centers and before you say Poehling is a center, we have Ras and Veleno so have the bottom six covered.

You say we have cap, well we could use that cap to get other teams dumps and get picks without giving up anything.

I could give a rat butt that he is from here. I liked his dad when he pitched for tigers but that was 40 years ago.

Lastly why do most Hab fans try and trade Oetry to Detroit, and ask for the moon.

There have been Vrana for Petry, Veleno and a 1st for Petry, Zadina with no picks and a bunch of picks. Listen Wings will take Perry but they are not giving up anything of true value to do so. He wants to come home, fine, Montreal need cap, fine. But none of that causes Wings to trade value for it.</div></div>

As much as I understand your point of view, I think the Yzerplan will evolve this year to go the next level, which is start to compete. Petry would fit more in this mentality than Hnorek for the next 3 years . He would be a good vet for Seider and Edvinsson. I don't think Hnorek is gonna more than a top 4 D in his career. I could up a bit the offer, but I piratically throw Petry in the trade.
