Detroit declines. This isn't a trade a rebuilding team should make. This screams fast tracking like the Sabres did with GM Tim Murray.

MTL's 2023 unprotected 1st and 2022's 33OA ++ for Bergeron seems fair and reasonable...

Too bad Bergeron will never ever play in Montreal.

Brad Marchand had a double hip injury and is still worth 2 1st round picks, Yeah don't think so.

Rangers aren't giving that up for David Pastrnak, who they can't afford to resign long term anyways.

Yeah Detroit passes on Taylor Hall, Plus no way Hall even waives for Detroit.

And oh FYI you're at least $2,000,000 under for Johnny Gaudreau.

As a Wings fan, I'm tempted to accept for a couple of reasons: 1) Hall has a very team friendly contract for only 3 years. 2) Detroit has multiple 2nds this year and next. 3) I think Detroit could potentially flip Hall for a 1st. and 4) Having Taylor Hall on your roster is a great way to win the Draft Lottery.

That said, Yzerman is smarter than me and declines.

The original offer seems somewhat appropriate value wise. Your counter offer is horrible, absolutely horrible.

While my counter offer is low, it is FAR less ridiculous than the original. Two 1sts. lol

2x non-lottery firsts, a cap dump, and mid round pick for a player that just posted 80 in 70 and has been PPG+ the past 6 years is closer than you think.

It's not even in the ballpark.

Plus, the Penguins coaching staff really likes Zucker. In reality, not only do I not expect him to be traded, I don't believe that he has been, nor will be, shopped. He has had disappointing point production on the Pens, but they really like everything else about his game, on and off the ice.

Provide one comparable trade with term returning significantly less since your offended by the offer.

Point production is on ice so your statement contradicts itself. It’s not like Zucker is playing PK but sure he can be a good locker room guy that doesn’t mean he’s worth the contract.

There is more done on the ice than point production. My statement is in no way a contradiction at all. Your narrow view of how to evaluate players and value shows a lot.

You'll have to show me where I even hinted that he was worth his contract. Go ahead, take all of the time that you need.

Marchand for Zucker, 2nd, 4th or go to some other team to try to get them to take him.

What makes him worth the contract? I’ve pointed to offensive production and lack of pk duties so it’s not like he’s known to be in Selke contention. That is your contradiction, you say he’s worth it on the ice but he’s not been good offensively nor does he contribute with pk or is known to shutdown the other teams top guys.

Because evaluating a player based on what they bring offensively and defensively is a good evaluation method. I don’t care that he goes to church on the weekend or donated to the local dog park.

I’m not a Boston fan but rather pointing out your homerism of a comment & how illogical your arguments are. “He’s 34” & yet still hasn’t regressed so okay and it’s 2 seasons not 7-8. If you were to propose that trade I 100% guarantee people were to think you were trolling.

Him and Crosby are friends and have good line chemistry. It would a 40 goal season for Marchy I would predict.

I didn't say he was worth it on the ice. Maybe try actually reading what people post and your responses might actually be relevant.

For the third time, where did I say that his contract was worth it, whcih you accused me of twice...? I'll even quote "post 17" which you directed me to...

"It's not even in the ballpark. Plus, the Penguins coaching staff really likes Zucker. In reality, not only do I not expect him to be traded, I don't believe that he has been, nor will be, shopped. Go ahead, highlight where I said that he was worth the contract. Highlight where I even insinuated it. My post that you directed me to is right there... Please... go ahead.

I previously said that you can take all of the time that you need. Maybe take a little more time because you are not doing too good so far. Again, there is the post that you directed me to. Show and tell time.

We need the popcorn eating emogi here.
