Yes but he’s not accepting his QO. He’ll likely get a 1 year deal worth between 1.75 - 2.5 and be an RFA again next year unless someone offer sheets him.
His has more value to Boston than whatever they get in trade for him, but 2nd and low to mid prospect would be realistic.

It takes more than a 4th to dump him. Hawks are set up to ask for high picks. Some teams likely scoff but there will be plenty of desperate GMs that KD will get what he asking for.

Kane Trades Bleacher Report
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jimbo1119</b></div><div>Although Tarasenko would be cheaper than Kane, STL would still look to acquire a 2023 !st as well as top prospects for him. Very fair. Considering the chemistry that Zibenejad and Kreider already have, as well as the fact that Trocheck and Panarin seem to be adjusting to one another, then you can make the case that neither line needs a big name RW to play with them.
Vatrano was a solid addition last Season, and they got him for a 4th. If you could find similar additions that are doubly cheap (both in Cap hit and assets required) that can play on those Top 2 lines, and therefore keep the Kid Line together, that could be even more beneficial.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shakabakes</b></div><div>Trading away one of the few decent RW'S you have for Kane is counter productive.
Kane will simply be too expensive, both by Cap retention and assets given up. Plus, he's more of a distributor than a Scorer, at this stage. No point in watching him and Panarin just pass the Puck back and forth to each other with no one to shoot.
Tarasenko is the better All Around target in a potential Blockbuster move. Assuming they go that route.</div></div>

None of those teams are giving up high end pieces, For essentially 3 months of Patrick Kane and that's if they win the cup. All teams not named Chicago would easily pass.

The trade values are all over the place but not really that important since it's hard to predict how much he gets traded for. I will say that I don't see NJ or LA as teams that would be adding high end rentals though, unless the price is low.
As much as they love Broberg, I think the Oilers accept that trade if the cap works. JP's value is down the drain, so it's not really much to give up.

Is that Edmonton deal missing a 1st or something? Seems so much cheaper than pretty much every other proposal.
As far as LA's, they aren't a Kane away from the Cup. They aren't going to give up 2 A- prospects and a 1st for half a year of Kane just for him to bolt again when the Kings can't offer him 6-8mil.

Not a huge fan of being able to do that because this bonus is obviously going to be met. It’s not like other bonuses that require to be top 3 on the team in scoring. Boston will definitely end up needing to defer the hit till next season once Foligno and smith come off the books and it’s apparent that the contract was designed for that sole purpose

At this point Sweeney cant clear enough cap for both zacha and krejci. Zacha will be here on a 1 year deal in the $3.5 mill range. Thats it.

Fire Sweeney
Pleau2 I think everyone is mad at you because you think Sweeney should be fired for no reason. I really don't understand all the hate for him, he won GM of the year in 2019 for a reason. He has made a ton of good decisions and deals that I don't see any other GM doing. Of course he has made some bad picks and bad decisions too. I agree with you that I was hoping they'd add another top forward but the prices weren't cheap, it sounded like they almost had a trade for Rakell but Anaheim chose Pittsburgh's last minute offer instead. It sounded like it was Debrusk plus a pick and a prospect. Which to me would've been a mistake given that Rakell is likely a rental. Also watching Debrusk's interview last night he is a totally different person than he was at the beginning of the year. He seems legitimately happy that he'll be a Bruin for at least the rest of this year. I think we'll see him continue to produce this year so we'll get the same production from Debrusk that we would get from Rakell.
It's also worth noting that if injuries come up I think the BC kid, McLaughlin could chip in this year as well as Lysell potentially. McLaughlin was a great signing.

Sometimes you don't get your guy, I was hoping they'd pony up for copp but no such luck. Giroux was never an option. Remember getting hall for nothing last year, this year it was giroux.

With Moore going the other way the value isnt as bad as I originally thought, but thats still a haul for ANA. Im kinda confused on what BOS is doing with their LD, can any of Grz, Rielly, Forbort, or Lindholm play the right side?

Market money, but no team friendly discount as Boston usually do. Probably, they decided to compensate Charlie for the current contract
