Feels weird that it's September 1st and they're just letting a 22 year old, former 5OA pick dangle in RFA limbo, so I think you might have a shot at getting him. I'd offer a 3rd over a 5th, or maybe another close-to-NHL-ready forward like Alex Beaucage, but I think it's an interesting swing for Colorado to take as they keep auditioning for 2C of the future.</div></div>
I have heard rumblings about Hayton not being happy in Arizona (Allegedly)

Despite his speed dropping off you don't need to always have speed when you can guarantee possession off faceoffs every time. Also smart players can make themselves useful when playing with faster players. Giroux isn't fast anymore yet Colorado really wanted him at the deadline</div></div>
its not though. Ive worked for Chicago since their 2015 cup. My self and co workers have watched him at practice for years now, and his skating has decreased significantly. I understand the smart/faceoff stuff, but you can't be behind the play on this Colorado team.

Toews kinda just sucks in general now. He can't move much anymore. Toews would struggling skating with the top 6.

I agree, but I can see Habs taking Kaut for the NHL. He has all the tools to be ready, but needs to play on the 2nd/3rd line. No room in Colorado for him atm

I think you want a center scratched though, and neither Olausson or Ranta can play center. The rest of the centers the Avs have in their system will stay with the Eagles this season.

I cannot fathom how you could think Ambrosio is prospect Dvorak.</div></div>
Is Dvorak a 2.0 PPG player now? Maybe we can trade Yakupov for Dvorak because he was a 3.0 PPG player in the OHL

2C Kinda Solved
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vikhodush</b></div><div>I’d say a second and some other minor pieces is fair. After all, he’s probably best suited as a 3C which makes his contract fine but not great. He’s never really produced at a clip that makes you think he’s a true 2C imo. Maybe on a team like the Avs with a really strong supporting cast he could fill that but I still think you’d want him as a 3C.</div></div>
He would be awesome with Colorado. If Newhook passes him at 2c, he will have a good contract at 3c too.

absolutely not true. Girard is smaller and not a Stevie Y guy, but he plays a very good defense. If anything its his scoring that lacks.
