Not a chance even on Mars. It starts with Tkachuk and Zary plus picks.

Buffalo declines. Not enough. Need Byfeild or Valardi at least with Turcotte. Take out Quick. Buffalo does not want him.

Calgary next year Sutters new team
The flames are not difficult to play against. Not at all, hence why the flames keep losing. I actually don’t think you understand what Sutter’s system is. When he coached LA to two cups and took the flames to the finals, his teams were full of players who were stay at home defenceman, power forwards and excellent goalies. His teams always have been truculent, hard hitting and very disciplined. A low scoring, defensive first system with players who play along the walls effectively and generate chances through the neutral zone. Right now, the flames are none of the above. Sutter will make Treliving change that.

Hence brining in Carlo and Brady who is going to be better than Matt. Plus they are different players even though they are brothers.

I said he is one of the best. No he has not. Send me proof and please don’t send me some bogus write up. He stated in his exit interview that he might not be back next year. GM Kevin Adams wants to trade him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>flamesfan</b></div><div>Because they can get eichel cheaper because sabers won’t be able to get max value for him cause he’s injured and asked for a trade</div></div>. That is incorrect. He never asked for trade. There is not doubt Eichel is unhappy in Buffalo and he has voiced his opinions but he has not reported to the media that he wants out. If Calgary wants Eichel, it’s starts with Tkachuk and Zary and no one else. Your not getting one of the best two way centerman in the game for Monahan for Gaudreau. No way.

The flames pass. Logan Brown is a plug and Conner Brown is a third line player at best. Monahan better than both combined.

Hmm let’s see. Gaudreau wants to resign with Calgary. I love Tkachuk but we have to qualify him at 9 million next year. He will want 10 million a year to resign. Monahan for Reinhart is a good trade.

Gabe is hardly a bust there bud. Has the potential to be a 80 point player. As for Turcotte he has been rumoured to be packaged for Eichel. He went 5th overall in 2019 lol. Calgary accepts.

One for one
This trade is bearing on Buffalo Keeping Eichel. I think a lot of Calgary fans are overvaluing Gaudreau. You cannot just compare these two players based on points alone. Sam is bigger, stronger and three years younger who is getting better every year. The flames need a top six right handed shot on the wing. Johnny would fit in nicely with Eichel on the top line in Buffalo. Calgary accepts! So does Buffalo.

Remember that Gaudreau’s value has gone down because of his poor play in the playoffs. Analytics wise, this would be a bad trade for Calgary. Emotional impact wise, this would be a great trade for Calgary. Domi adds punch and Gallagher adds secondary scoring plus playoff experience. Calgary accepts.

Really? Del Zotto instead of Stone. Schenn at league minimum instead of Forbort at over 2 mil. Sure losing Hamonic sucks but EG is a really good d man. Can’t keep Brodie.

Ekman-Larrson to Calgary and trading Johnny
OEL is easily one of the best two way defensemen in the league. He is a top 10 d man in the NHL who has played on a bad team in a poor hockey market his whole carrier. It would take Hanafin, Valimaki and a first to get him. Sure his contract might seem like a huge gamble but with both know Gio is no longer a Norris trophy caliber d man and OEL is a bonafide number 1 d man for the next 4-5 years. Plus, Calgary does not have another true number 1 d man in the ranks.

Nylander is having a career year and is not going anywhere. If he was, you would need to ship Valimaki, a first, dube and TJ Brodie.

Liane to Calgary in blockbuster deal
Despite Laine's lackluster season, he is still one of the best snipers in the NHL. I find it quite funny how so many hockey fans are writing him off after one bad season. I mean he still scored 30 goals last year even though he had a 23 game goal scoring drought. The year before that, he scored 44 goals without batting an eye at the age of 20. He is 6,5 210 lbs and he is physical. He is the real deal and as much as I like Matthew Tkachuk, I think any GM would take a chance on Laine in a second. No questions asked. He is EXACTLY the type of scoring winger Calgary needs for the playoffs, Big, skilled, fast and he has an unreal shot plus he has 16 points in 23 payoff games. I will wait......

Draft weekend trade predictions
Bare in mind that Toffoli is on a low scoring bad team (no offense) that needs to rebuild. On a high scoring team such as the flames, Toffoli’s value is higher. He is capable of getting 60 to 65 points on Calgary’s second line. Calgary’s first this year is basically a second. This is what it would take to get him..
