Rangers trade history with top-10 picks
- Brendl was a share of Lindros deal
- Lundmark got an AHLer
- Jessiman got FC
- McIlrath got an AHLer
- Andersson got a 2nd
- Kravtsov got a 6th
So…maybe

I like this a lot for MTL. It could make sense for CHI as they are getting a vet, but that could still play many seasons

Two guys rumored Evans and Lafreniere
Wondering why NYR fans think Laffy is worth lots.. I mean he has yet to break the 40pts seaon after three years with a pretty decent team. THey tried him everywhere and have yet to see him become a no1 pick that was worth it. I think Slafkovsky is pretty much the same type player who'll stay as a good 2nd to third liner.
The only reason a team would pay 2X 2nd rounds pick or better would be if they have a tie in with him where they see him has the 1st overall pick he was supposed to be, and franchise player he has yet to become.. Habs only reason to overpay for him, easy... Gorton.. He picked him, he has ties to him and he's probably the only one who would really pay more than he's worth to bring him in MTL.
I think he probably lost his job in NYR because of that pick..
I mean, MTL may even pay upward to a player and the CAL 1st pick. But I don't see any other team taking that much of a risk for a less than 40pts player after three years in the NHL being 1st overall.

The contract may have been a tad rich at the time but nobody wanted him to go.
I think with the established chemistry he had with gally he would be a excellent fit back

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SmartGM</b></div><div>Owen Beck is not a saviour he's good but not NHL ready.</div></div>
I never said he was a Saviour. There’s only one Saviour and most mock Him.
But I’m based in Ontario and I’ve been a paid scout for many years. I’ve seen Beck play 25 times and he’s very sound and a better player than KK. I also know Assistant Coach Trevor Letowski really well and he has told me how much the entire staff likes him. With that being said, why bring back KK, that is still inconsistent when Dvorak is there for next year and Beck should be there the following season after that.

He's been good like when hes out in the City of Raleigh?
Cuz on the ice hes been almost exactly what he was in MTL. Shows flashes of skill and great play then disappears for long stretches, at this point i'm more than happy to live with the results of that offsheet i dont think either side would have any interest in this.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheGHANDI90</b></div><div>Gallagher 1 for 1 wld be interesting to be perfectly honest, i'd do it.</div></div>
Super interesting, I have him at the bottom there just cause I don't see an easy path to re signing current Flames if they bring him in, during his contract the Flames would potentially have to give pay raises to most of that roster including, Lindholm, Hanifin, Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Mangiapane, Dube, Andersson, Valimaki etc.
I really like to target and the fit in Calgary would be something else to watch with him and Tkachuk playing in the top six but the financials get super messy.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>The way hes struggling right now and was fairly invisble in the finals, I dont think anyone comes close to Gallagher and that pretty hefty AND lengthy new contract.</div></div>
He was part of the shutdown line with Danault in the playoffs. 53% possession with 66% dzone starts. He wasn't invisible, he took on a role and played it well.
The whole team is struggling offensively to start this season. He's also being used to help Evans, as he has a positive effect on his linemates wherever he plays.
The production will come. It always does.
His line with Evans has only allowed one goal this season, so that part of the plan is working.

You don't seriously gauge anything based on the pre-season, do you?
I do agree though, MTL has a major uphill battle in their division. They need to out perform the #4 seed in the Metro to have a chance.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Beetlejuice</b></div><div>Hawks Reject, Danault isn't having a good season and is going to be a ufa depending big money, If the hawk's would to trade Strome it shouldn't be for an older center if anything a younger top 6 winger or picks.</div></div>
Strome isn't gonna get us a young top six winger - Danault has been a Selke contender recently and may just be having a down year. I think it's a great time to buy low on a guy who can anchor a defensive 3rd line for years to come. The Hawks have been missing that Bolland-esque presence for years, and Danault is perfect for that going forward.
