But Zucker and Guentz really arent built to play the more up and down Grindy type of third line role. Guentz is a goal scorer with pretty good to great playmaking skills. While that might work for some puck possesion on the third line I dont really see it playing out that way. And Zucker is just a speed demon and sniper from what we saw once he got here.

No thanks, at all on any of those.
Rangers will not trade Krider within the division.
JJ will cost about a second and third to move given that whatever team takes him on as their cap dump will also use him as their sacrifice to Seattle next offseason, and if no team wants him he is buried in the AHL and then used as the Penguins sacrifice to Seattle.
And what purpose does Tuch serve on this team? Especially dumping POJ AND MM for him? Our top 6 is already cemented pretty well with Zuck, Rust, Guentz, Malkin and Sid and most likely Kappy. So why bring in Tuch?

Still trying to figure out JRs plan
Pretty sure Murray is going to be a seperate trade from Johnson at this point to be honest. Probably will be Johnson and a 2 and maybe a 3 for like a 6th or 7th return. Then you Trade Murray for 2 2s in 21 and 22. Dont think you get that kind of a return from packaging those two together.

Coming from the Red Wings fan who goes onto literally every Red Wings post and makes a comment of "Red Wings decline" Unless the offer is so overloaded in the Red Wings favor that its a a steal is laughable. And hey nice shot with the relocation because you don't have the ability to trash talk from the time the final horn sounded in 09 till Yzerman took over. And if being the "least likeable person on the entire site" means that Im calling out homers like you for the same nonsense Im (Rightfully or wrongfully) accused of? Then give me a badge and I'll wear it proudly.
PS. Big thank you for being my continuous reminder of why I hate Red Wings fans.

Hence the bye felicia, Ottawa is still out there and your team took on a second to get Staal. So your not beyond the "Take picks for bad contracts." And we in PGH are well aware we are facing a cliff and ready to embrace it at this point. In 3 years time Zucker, Guentz will be traded for high picks and that will start the rebuild where we will be like what you are right now. Picks for bad contracts while waiting for us to hit the Draft Lottery.

Yeah, no. POJ doesnt belong in this trade when JJ is just a contract that is offloaded by Detroit next year for free in the Seattle expansion draft. A Third and a second at most should be enough to move the Johnson contract given what it took to move Marc Staal.

Guentz and Zucker are going to be the two pieces the penguins move in 2-3 years to start their rebuild. To trade them now you would need to give an offer that blows us out of the water and while this one isnt exactly horrible it doesn't really make me look or think twice. If you threw in a second first for sure that could make me personally reconsider but not as is.

Matheson Trade
Do people that put into these trades not take into consideration EXACTLY what will happen if 29 is brought back to Pittsburgh with the "Fans"? Like really if you look anywhere it is more then obvious what will happen. Allow me to spell it out why I personally am against Fleurys return to the Pens... So lets say he is brought in like you said. So Jarry is the starter going into camp and coming out of camp (Barring injuries).
"Fleury isn't the starter but even still Im just so happy he is back with the team! Cant wait to see him start."
-1 Month into the season-
"Well Jarry has been good but we need to give Fleury more starts because Jarry is starting to flounder a bit and we need him fresh!"
-2 Months into the season after Jarry has a couple of bad games as every goalie will and Fleury is still a backup-
"Well Jarry clearly needs a break! We need to make Fleury the starter so Jarry can rest up and clean up his game!"
-3 Months into the season-
"FLEURY IS THIS TEAMS STARTER!!!!!!"
Im not even saying management will be like this. But the fact that this is what will become of Pittsburgh as the cult of Fleury continues to try and get their idol back as a starter in PGH it is something this team should avoid like the plague till he is retired. I cannot be the only person who sees this trend.

If you're going to say one of the above, name a goalie similar to Murray that got less than a second on his own as an RFA or explain how Jack Johnson hurts Detroit when his term is the same as Abdelkader's
Ryan for Horny makes sense if Calgary thinks they can win a cup in the next two years, he fits their play style like a glove and their main need for a right shot RW. Questionable in the third year but for now he's a 2RW
If you think Horny is a cap dump don't waste your time typing</div></div>

Already been debunked by a few different sources that we are allowed to spend to the cap. There is no cost cutting in the player department. Furloughing employees is one thing, a cap crunch is another entirely.

Murray was once on an ELC ------> then he signed a bridge deal.... so lets think for a moment.... after a bridge deal comes...? oh yes a payday contract more $$$ x 5years. lets even say he takes the Holtby deal thats 6million for 4-5 years. doubt any team is breaking down the door when they could get RL / Holtby for that cost and keep the assets</div></div>
Ive already googled it plenty of times and no such link exists. So I ask again, what is your source for your claim other then the math you are doing yourself.
<a href="https://pittsburghhockeynow.com/sizing-up-matt-murray-next-contract-pittsburgh-penguins/#:~:text=Murray%20currently%20makes%20%243.75%20million,disaster%20which%20neither%20party%20wants" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://pittsburghhockeynow.com/sizing-up-matt-murray-next-contract-pittsburgh-penguins/#:~:text=Murray%20currently%20makes%20%243.75%20million,disaster%20which%20neither%20party%20wants</a>.
This is the closest guestimate that I can even find. Which they put it at roughly 5m for 2-3 years which last I checked is 3m less than the 8m you and other people out here are seemingly valueing a Murray contract at, or rather in your specific case "Claiming he said this" When he didnt. Like I get it, you guys dont value him at all after last season, that's fine, that can be your argument you dont need to throw in cap numbers. You want to say he isn't worth x player is fine on its own. But further justifying it with a bold faced lie? Do better.

Source? Where did he say this because everyone keeps trying to say it again and again and I cannot find it anywhere. And Im local to PGH. Given your team has been trying to dump Rask for about a year, not really he brings down value. And your GM is high on MMand your trying to dump Dubnyk, Then you get Bjugstad to take 4.1m off the books or flip at seasons end. If you want to talk about Johnson being removed from the trade I can understand that but everything else value wise makes sense.
