Realistic offseason
Hawks agree but Zadarov has a qualifying offer of $3.2M, so he probably still gets close to that.

Why do we have to give Strome for free to make them take the guy thats probably their best option in the first place? and if they don't take dehaan thats fine we have 24 mil in cap space in this post and thats after a suter and zadorov overpays

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TrueCanuck</b></div><div>I doubt that either of Niederreiter or Hamilton are protected. Hamilton makes no sense since he'll be a pending UFA and likely doesn't sign in Seattle. Be smarter to protect Bean with a handshake agreement with Hamilton that he signs after the draft. And protecting Niederreiter means likely losing Morgan Geekie. Seems to be smarter to protect the younger, cheaper players and if Seattle takes Niederreiter than it frees more cap space for Hamilton and other guys</div></div>
Hamilton is one of the best defenseman in the NHL. Why would you risk losing him? Worst scenario is they take Bean, who's looked pedestrian post his first 2 weeks in the NHL. Niederreiter also had 35 points and 20 goals, why would you give that up for a kid who couldn't even make the lineup this year? If they take geekie, let them.

Realistic 2021 roster
It's such a lame move trading Nylander and a middle 4th for a late 2nd. It will cost next to nothing to resign him and having him is in the system if for nothing more than depth is more valuable than the pick.

If they can land lindholm it'd be stupid to trade murphy. That'd be 1 step forward 2 steps back.
Getting lindholm, toews coming back, and Lankinen having a good second season would make this a playoff team easily. If they trade murphy away they're a bubble team at best.

Elite
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TrueCanuck</b></div><div>I literally just said that he's an offensive defenceman. That's a good quality. It's not a huge knock on him, it's just his game. He's a younger version of Justin Holl. Who again, is a dime a dozen guy. Can be replaced pretty easily but has some value to his team that knows him in his current role.
Edit: you seem pretty confident in saying he wasn't available, yet most of the big media coverage analysts said he was - including Elliott Friedman. That's not a guy that reports something that he doesn't know</div></div>
First of all... not one media anything was even slightly substantiated. It was lazy parroted speculation that everyone backed away from as if they never heard of it only a few days later.
Secondly, Dunn is not dime a dozen. He's damn near elite as a puck mover and nowhere near as bad defensively as people like to make out. And he's still young, still cheap and still has already helped the Blues win a Cup. Oh and you stated that he's not providing much offense, but actually he's on the highest PPG of his career so far this season - so not sure what you're on about with that comment. Even though Dunn has definitely had a hot and cold season, he still holds good value.

How Id do it from an outsider perspective
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafs_and_Sens_Fan</b></div><div>Buffalo fans would be cheering on the streets if Seattle took Eakin's contract off the books. As Seattle I'd take Colin Miller.
I think Colorado can get more than that for Graves. Buffalo would probably have to retain 50% on Ristolainen or make the pick a 2nd to make them interested.
Some of these contracts are extremely team friendly. As Reinhart I'd go to QO get 6-7Mx1 from arb and become a free agent. Dahlin probably signs a 2 year deal to prove himself or Buffalo pays extra and pays a premium for extra years expecting Dahlin to improve.
Ullmark will be prized in UFA. I think Buffalo will need to give him more money.
Everything else looks pretty fair.</div></div>
As a buffalo fan I'd like to say your pretty dead on, but I'd give them both Eakin and Miller as I don't want either of them.
Graves would be a great pickup, weirdly enough he's the perfect pair for the guy we traded for him, Risto. I'd be willing to trade picks for Graves of they needed to move him for cap.
Minimum contract for me would be the Werenski McAvoy deal 3x5. Which is probably the perfect deal, then you get Joker on the exact same term x 3 and pair them on the top pair for the next 3 years.
Ullmark might like buffalo if so this is fair, if not he's the best Goalie on the free market so...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tyler_A10</b></div><div>I had him listed on non-roster, tbh I didn't actually realize you thought of him that highly (mainly cause I had only heard his name a few times and didnt realize he was 20). The depth on this defense beyond even the top 4 for the future really isnt fair, especially if you see him as a guy with NHL potential alongside Lundqvist, Robertson, Hajek and Schneider.</div></div>
Yeah Zac Jones is actually almost unanimously ranked higher than Matthew Robertson in prospect rankings despite getting drafted a round later than him in 2019. He looks like he’s going to hold down the 3rd LD role over Libor Hajek now. Meanwhile Nils Lundkvist gets the 3rd RD role as he’s much more matured than Braden Schneider right now. Schneider will start 2021-22 in the AHL most likely.
As a Ranger fan I’m stoked about our defence’s future after a decade of torturing Henrik Lundqvist. Lol.

So far Blackwell and Samsonov both look like they will have great careers with elite potential. I am hesitant to say either of them will have any sort of shot at the HOF but who knows since they are still only 23/24..
The remaining goalies also show good potential, like Hill, Monteambeault and Vladar... Lots of potential

Your premise is entirely reasonable. Since you're talking about 2021 draft picks, I'll assume that this exchange occurs before the expansion draft, too. (By the way, you're a little off about the draft order. Buffalo will have the first overall pick in each round following the first, so they'll have pick #33 -- don't forget that Seattle comes into the league -- so Anaheim will probably have pick #34; Arizona will probably share the 12 and 13 slots between the two of you.)
Moving up that far for a one-year rental is within the range of Hampus' value, although it's at the low end of that range. I and I'm sure a lot of my fellow Anaheim adherents would like to get more, but with his injury history, I'm not sure we will. However, the additional pieces you've included are virtually worthless to us. We have a backup goalie who seems entirely capable while unlikely to be selected by Seattle, and we can fill the #3 LD slot from within. But the third might be sufficient additional ammunition to make the deal work.

Don't put Strome on the 4th line -- if that's your plan, trade him before you tank his value instead.
