What are they going to do - Bo Horvat
Bo is #2 center with a lot of holes in his game on an unsustainable heater.
I think they’ll stick with Pasta.

He also has 4-5-9 in his past ten games and started earning more ice time and shifts with better linemates. He's a twenty-four year old center, and they rushed him and mishandled him. No reason to flub it further by dealing him just as he's figuring things out and looking like a contributor.
Especially for a late first several drafts away and a cap dump defenseman. Makes zero sense.</div></div>
He’s 22.
If he was 24 and still playing at his current level i’d be far less interested.
4-5-9 in last 10 makes his 5-9-14 for the season even worse actually.

Toews not doing that for Boston.
Move Zacha to C2 recall Lysell in place of Toews and you are far closer than most people are.
👍🏻
Sway and Freddy will cost double that tho. Which means bye to Cliffy

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PuckLuck_77</b></div><div>That is a laughably bad trade for Arizona.</div></div>
Is it though?
Hayton has been pretty big disappointment since coming into the league and showing no progress.
Despite the perception and the contract, Reilly is a solid NHL d man. Good chance Chychrun and Ghost are gone by deadline. Reilly would be usable, helpful next year to get to floor, flip at deadline next year.
Boston would probably have to add another mid level piece and give Zona their choice of what year they want the 1st. But it’s not that bad.

Yes to Zona.
No to LA. I actually like CG and would target him under the right circumstances.
Nosek plays a valuable role for Boston.
Funny - i was playing with one today that had Boston sending a sizeable package to Zona for Chychrun/Hayton/Mayo. Then flipping Grizz to LA for CG and a prospect. So it was kinda neat seeing this.

Pushing Coyle to RW to make room for him says he’s not a fit.
Considering he can choose where he goes there won’t be a bidding war, you are overpaying.
By the sounds of it he’s not that keen on leaving, though Winnipeg seems to intrigue him.

When did Parise become a physical right shot FW? Because that is the perfect add for Boston.
Parise is not a fit as there is no room in the top 9 for him and as he’s not a banger.
Take Reilly they probably still do it. 🤷🏻♂️

So they add $2.175M. This doesn't help them at all. The whole point of moving Reilly is to clear cap space and they not do in this trade.</div></div>
Not to mention Nosek plays his role well and Reilly buried is a nice insurance policy, come playoffs with no cap becomes valuable.
Horny is just a problem.

No it isn’t. Taking on cap beyond this year is not a thing.
Those moves combined with bonus overages, signing Pasta for 11, and Sway and Freddy for 4 puts Boston at 84.2m cap with just 18 players signed next year.
Any move they make this year will be for a rental.
Only acceptable moves bringing in someone with term:
Chychrun would be a possibility while moving out Reilly, then one of Forbort and Grizz in separate deals. Or a young cheap center, sellers are not selling them though.
Nucks decline anyways.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyIsMyPassion61</b></div><div>What part of the Bruins needing to sign 12 players plus lose 4.5m in performance bonuses to both Bergeron and Krejci don't people understand, Even if Boston moved both Carlo and Lysell which i doubt Sweeney would. it doesn't mean the Bs can just offer Horvat 8x8 when they have other pressing issues to address plus giving Pasta anywhere from $11,000,000 to $12,000,000 per just isn't going to work it's pure fantasy.</div></div>
Here is the breakdown.
Boston currently has 62.8m committed to 14 players next year.
Add 4.5 bonus overages that becomes 67.3
Take out Carlo and Reilly. 60.1 for 12 players.
Sign Pasta and Bo for 19m. 79.1 for 14.
Freddy and Sway for 4m 83.1 for 16.
400k left for 7 slots. 🙄
Nuckheads need to stop doing meth and start doing math.

More Nuckleheads.
Simply no.
Boston does not have the ability to re-sign both Bo and Pasta. They are going to have move multiple players just to sign Pasta and fill out the rest of the team.
Give it up. It’s not happening.
The Boston front office knows this even if you guys don’t.
This move also hurts Boston more than it helps. It creates a big hole to fix nothing.

For BOS, that leaves the <strong>$10.5MIL</strong> allocated above to go get 50-goals/100pts.
Not too bad an ask, chop-chop!</div></div>
And as I said above. Agree whole heartedly.
They can’t sacrifice the team for 1 players demands.
50 goal scorers don’t grow on trees. But they can’t build a team around him if he’s unreasonable.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KennyBoi</b></div><div>F*** that, if Pasta wants that I'm willing to let him walk.
If Sweeney is smart, his leverage is waiting out Pasta right up to free agency. Pasta has publicly stated his love for the city and his desire to re-sign, so the closer he gets to free agency, the more pressure buils that there's a real possibility he'll need to move from a city he's lived in for a number of years now and has called home.
$10.5M is market value for 100+ point wingers, and he'll still become the highest paid Bruin in history. Obviously a good agent will try to get the best contract for his player, and a good GM will get the best contract for the team, but it ultimately comes down to the player with the final say. And I think we'll see a similar situation like Forsberg and NSH, both sides will hold out until close to free agency but ultimately come to a deal that is fair for both sides.</div></div>
Agree whole heartedly.
I’m just saying what has been happening. Donny sated publicly in the offseason they were more than willing to make him the highest paid player on the team.
You have to figure they started at 8x10. If he said 10.5 or 11. This would be over already. 🤷🏻♂️ That’s just reality.

I have not seen many saying they can’t keep core together (Just 1). But all the dip💩s that think they can trade for Horvat and sign both him and Pasta, mostly Nuckheads, are delusional.
