<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kopiino</b></div><div>Leason really didn't look that good. Yes, he scored (and it was a pretty goal), but he missed two good chances and made some other mistakes and as a 19 year old, that really doesn't look good. McMichael should be on here, he was driving play and every shift he and Guskov were showing their chemistry and really bouncing off each other, so I don't see why both shouldn't be on this, and of course McMichael's work paid off with a goal at the end there. Colten Ellis was also a big factor in the comeback in the end with his big save to stir the momentum, think he deserves to be at least on the IR here. Alexandrov, Korczak, and Zaytsev also deserve a shout. Good team tho, I figured you were going to make one of these lmao.</div></div>

I did think that Leason was not as good as expected, hence why I left him as the 4th Center. He looked WAYYYY better in the 2nd and 3rd then in the 1st period.
McMichael was my final cut, I do think he played great.

Alexandrov and Zaytzev did look pretty good, but not better than the guys I have on here IMO. It's hard to choose from these guys lmao, it's so close.

Ellis and Jones were about equal, but Ellis probably looked better because of the shift in the game. That being said, Jones will go earlier in the draft and I've liked him a lot this season, so he gets the nod.
Gauthier sucked.

These were my top guys, and the IR guys are the ones I was surprised to notice. I really thought Rees looked solid, he was one of my favourite's to watch, even if he hasn't has the same type of season as the others.

Yeah, I do make a lot of prospect ACGMs don't I? lol, I try to learn as much as I can about them. Possibly looking at going into sports management for university- maybe even a scouting type career.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juice</b></div><div>Here's the thing...it's something that doesn't get discussed much because the nuances of the CBA are convoluted. I get less bothered on here where people ignore it but it's very frustrating when so called experts like Kypreos or Dreger get on the air and completely ignore the issue...likely because they have no idea either.

The situation summarized plainly:

1. If a team places a player on LTIR...all performance bonuses earned that year HAVE to get carried over to next year
2. This website now shows potential performance bonus for this year as $6.25m. This is the absolute max that could be paid and includes Matthews, Marner, Lindholm, Ozhiganov and now Moore since he was called up. Matthews and Marner are the only ones on pace to earn performance bonuses..which they are likely to max out on for $3.7m. The other 3 aren't close to any performance bonus money....so the key figure is $3.7m
3. If the Leafs were to place Horton on LTIR, that $3.7 gets paid next year, and is $3.7m of less cap space the leafs will have to work with
4. Right now the leafs only have about $1.66m in cap space..so they'd be looking at already carrying over $2m in bonuses onto next year's cap. They have Ennis, Gardiner and Johnsson (and Horton) all injurred right now and so...when some of those guys get healthy...2 salaries will move to the Marlies....most likely Gauthier and Moore since they are waiver exempt. Those two guys have a total salary of $1.6m.

So... $1.66m in cap space now...+ $1.6m added in cap space if Moore/Gauthier return to the marlies once Ennis and Johnsson are healthy = $3.26 in cap space. But they need $3.7 in cap space to avoid bonus overages. Maybe they're ok if they only need to push $440k over on to next year's cap...but the main thing is....for every dollar in cap space the leafs add to this year's roster, it eats one dollar away from next year's cap.</div></div>

Thank you for actually explaining it. Makes sense, and the numbers seem much more accurate.

That being said, I think moves like this could still be an option depending on other moves, I just liked the idea of seeing the theoretical options, even if the Cap makes it hard.

Thanks again!
