lol so good, but If you're the Rangers fan in this scenerio ill be the Sabres fan," If you think your getting Zib and Laf for that, you're crazy, it starts with Reinhart and Eichel and the 8th overall pick plus!"

Lets compromise and make it a 3rd and Strome is the least coveted 26 YO 70 pt pace Center I have ever seen lol. Atleast to the fans, maybe GMs see differently

Check your math there "Homie" 59points/70games=.843 x 82 games = 69.13 points. If you wanna be a stickler its 69 and change but we all know Panarin would get Strome that 70th point ;)

Why is he off limits? I dont follow Wild prospects much but Im seeing him at 5 or not even top 5 for them on some lists. And its not like they have the strongest prospect pool in the league either.

They need help down the middle, and as much as everyone says Strome is the worst 70 point forward ever lol I still think he can get something solid back. Plus smith has just one year left and he can play left or right side def and would be a solid bottom pair. If a team has the capspace hes not a bad option for depth. I don't think your 6th or 7th best prospect is that much of an ask.

Every single one of his numbers screams "League average". Does he have potential? Sure! Would I give up Byfield or Stutzle, and move back 6 places in the draft to see if he's going to hit it? Not a chance.</div></div>
He also played in a 3 goalie rotation with one of the worst defenses in the league so I would take those numbers with a grain of salt. Ive seen nearly every game of his and I think he is clearly a starter in this league and top 15 potential in the right situation. But I guess we wait and see and honestly winning the lottery and keeping him and Igor would be my favorite outcome so he doesnt haunt the Rangers for years to come

I feel like it always seems set in stone but the rangers taking Kravstov at 9 was a shock even, I have seen people not as high on Raymond, and Holtz and higher on Lundell but yea anything could happen past Lafreniere, Byfield/Stutzle. IMO

The only way they don’t is an overpay, and let’s face it that isn’t even enough for them to consider doing it. And NO way Drysdale drops to 9, and very unlikely Perfetti does either. In fact it is highly unlikely that the Rangers pick 9, in fact the odds are better that they pick 1OA instead of 9.</div></div>
I mean every series they need to come out is tied 1-1 so anything could happen but thats why I said 9 or 10. But I think we will be surprised who is still there at 9 or 10 in this draft.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>Sorry, meant to note that the difference in value between Lajoie and Rykov is likely the difference between Nilsson and Georgiev.
If you think about it, the Sens don't really need a goalie this year either though. It's not like they're going to be competitive, they have Nilsson and Hogberg already. If they want to upgrade in net, there's a bevy of short and/or long term options available in free agency. I'm not sold on Georgiev being a long term answer for anything other than a 35-40 game/year option.
If you're giving up a guy like Byfield or Stutzle, you better be getting back a sure thing, not 3 big question marks.</div></div>
I disagree, he has gradually been given more games every year and continues to impress, obviously every cheap contract still has something to prove but thats why there not making 8 mil a year. The risk you run to get a good starting goalie under control for years to come and to start at 2 mil/year. instead you could end up paying big money for those UFA's in a tight cap crunch year.

Youre comparing 30 YO life long backup in Nilson to Georgiev who is a cheap starter in this league that is in his early 20's still and will continue to improve. And I actually like Lajoie and the Rangers didnt need a goalie last year so its not apples to apples.

Ottawa is getting a starting goalie and a defensive prospect that is ready in a year, to fall 6 spots. Unless your ok with unknown commodities in net. Like I said throw in a 3rd rd pick as well but Its only 6 or 7 spots in one of the deepest drafts eve. Drysdale, Perfetti or Lundell could potentially fall to 9

I didnt say I wanted to pay him 6 mil but you're rating him like he is some 4th line chump. He's a 25 YO middle 6 center that can play PP and PK and get you 40-50 points a year. You think Valimaki is as good as Adam Fox? Hes still pretty much a prospect in my eyes and they have 3 LD under contract. Why wouldn't they use him to get help in one of the most important positions on the ice that they are thin at? I am not one to say Strome is the greatest player and hes not normally a 70 pt player but hes a solid middle 6 center for any NHL team and can give you 40-50 points if used correctly.
