They do not have the cap space to sign Horvat, so he is a pure 100% rental. Apples to oranges. Drury doesn't like trading 1st round picks for rentals, especially in a deep draft, so 0% chance this happens. And why would a Canuck fan want to trade Horvat to a team as a rental when they can get more trading him to a team that can sign him long term? It does not maximize his return which make no sense.</div></div>
I'm not sure they'll get more than a 1st, 2nd and a solid prospect. I'd like to think so but who knows they might end up signing him instead if not. Van FO did it before and overplayed their JT hand and they probably want to sign Bo more than JT.

He can play any forward position, set a person high in goals and scoring last year and is on pace to break both this year at 18 goals and 23 assists, plus he is very defensively responsible, is a very good PK guy, and stands up for his teammates whenever needed. IMO, he is worth what he is paid and I don't want the Rangers to trade him, period, and I don't think Drury will.</div></div>
There is a reason Goodie was one of the last guys on the ice ending the season. Cooper trusted him without question

You really don’t know when to stop.. I don’t need to turn it down. It’s never happens for 3 major reasons(which I have already pointed out to you). Continuously trying to argue that the rangers need to say yes to this post is clown material at its best. Only a leaf fan makes this offer. Dubas and 31 other GMs don’t.

Don't see a reason to trade Podkolzin at the moment. He need more time to develop in the AHL and get a bigger role under a new coach next year in the NHL. He's going to be a very important middle six piece for us going forward, someone you could sign long term for cheap. I would trade him away just yet. Schenn for Zac Jones and like a 5th ain't bad

my response to KaneDaddys 2023 habs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>delneggs</b></div><div>I am open to any trade scenario that makes the team better, but that has to include the future as well. Rentals are fine if they don't have to give up the farm to get them. IMO, they have to make the playoffs, and once in the playoffs they need to let Chytil, Laffy, Kakko and Kravstov play as much as possible for their development. The Kid Line was great last playoffs, and the experience was great for all 3, so I don't want to make any trades that takes ice time from then (such as Kane or Tarasenko). And as you said, Kreider, Trocheck and Vesey have been really good, so they need to stay intact. With Kravstov as a top 9 RW, there is no room on the top 3 lines, so that's why I think they could beef up the 4th line and/or get a better 3rd pair LD.</div></div>
Yeah pretty much onboard with all that u said there. Hence like a Fischer and like a Kulikov in my book is what is needed, mostly.

Horvat deal
Nashville currently has slightly over $11,2000,000 in salary cap to sign 8 players. No way can Nashville afford Bo Horvat long term. He'll eat at least $8,000,000 to $8,500,000 x 8 years at the very least.

:laugh :laugh Rangers aren't trading Lafreniere for a pure rental in Bo Horvat, Same can be said with Chytil.
The NYR doesn't have between $8,000,000 to $9,000,000 to offer Horvat. So it's not happening.

So what even if that was said (it wasnt). Im talking about delusion from a trade that happened and wasn't far fetched in the beginning. 4 1sts is far fetched. It isnt comparabel but seems you and some Rangers fans have some deep seated angst to get through. I wish you luck when the JT Miller trade, maybe, happens?!</div></div>
Quoting because you’ve deleted a post on this thread already.
You may be one of the most incoherent posters I’ve come across on Capfriendly. I’ve replied to a few of your nonsense takes and you continue to spew out things that honestly I have trouble following. If there is a language gap, please let me know. You keep on being up stuff about the Lehkonen trade. I’ve replied a few times but it doesn’t seem like you care to. I honestly want to understand where you’re coming from, but I’m having a lot of trouble. Idk if there’s a Capfriendly discord or something but I’d love to connect there.
In terms of the Horvat-Avs trade, this is absolute nonsense. There are several trades every day where another commenter says no to something way less than this. The Avs aren’t trading a top 4 defenseman, a 2023 1st, and their top defensive prospect for a rental C. You can take out Girard and the Avs still say no. Stop posting these bad proposals. Please

3 first lines seem to work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>delneggs</b></div><div>Kid line looked really good, guess they should stay together no matter what. Vesey has been playing well and if he can keep it up, that would help keep the kid line together. And I was really happy to see Gauthier finally cash one in. He works hard and deserves to get rewarded once in a while. If he ever figures out how to finish, he could be a real force.</div></div>
Just as I’ve been saying not to panic, I will say not to get too thrilled because of 1 game…but the way the team looked without Lindgren and Chytl….really does show how important those guys are.
For now, best thing NYR can do is continue to get healthy….and if possible keep the lineup set like last night. Health and continuity should really help the team and should help in getting a good read on guys like Krav, Blais, and Hajek.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>delneggs</b></div><div>Other teams get up to play them now because of how well they did last season and they have not matched the intensity being thrown at them near enough to be real contenders right now. They are playing more like they expect to win because of last year than being hungry and grinding out wins any way they have to. I hope Gallant can nip it in the bud or they will have a long season and short playoff life, assuming the make it.</div></div>
I'm not that sure they do make it, but exposing weakness is a good thing. And can provide a very good learning curve. My biggest fear is they do some desperate move in order to "save" the season that sets the team back even further. That is the only thing I am worried about.
