<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryminister_27</b></div><div>It's going to be at least 5 since he was offered an in person hearing for it. That's how the league works. It was dirty yes. But if the league says that "1 player game equals 2 regular season games" then 5 is extremely harsh, even for a repeat offender. That means in the season, it's a 10 game suspension? The league is a joke and works like that. It should be 3 (or 6 "regular season games") but since he got 3 last years playoffs and a repeat offender is within 18 months, it's going to be more. It's terrible when the entire situation coulda been avoided.

Let's get this out of the way. The Bruins were the better team in the first period and skated all over the Leafs and that's where they won the game. But that officiating is the worst I've ever seen. Debrusk was running around being a goon all game and if they woulda called something on him (interference on Hyman within a couple minutes of the start, the extra rough on Kadri when they both got minors, the knee on knee which shouldn't be suspendable but is still worth a 2 minute minor, the elbow to Dermott's face) then none of this woulda happened cause the Leafs woulda been happy with Debrusk going to the box and getting the PP. The refs let this game get outta hand. They didn't call things both ways. Tavares shoulda had a clear goalie interference on Rask, wasn't called. It's a joke. The league is a joke. Kadri made his mistake and he'll get disciplined for it and have to answer for it. But will the refs? Will they have to talk to the media about it? Will they have to have someone fight them when they return to "stand up for what they did"? Will they get disciplined by the league for it? No. &amp; that's where the problem is. The fact that the playoff rules are COMPLETLEY different from the regular season is a joke. The NHL is a joke league.</div></div>

I agree with all of this. And would only add that George Parros being in charge of Player Safety, an ex goon and a knuckle dragger who owns a line of hockey clothing called Violent Gentlemen that uses a branding line of "Make Hockey Violent Again," only confirms what a joke the league has become.
