DNVR Trade Deadline

Fair, wasn't sure of his value. Seems like a guy who has more value where he currently is than he does in a trade

I think that we'll get better offers for Rickard Rakell, inasmuch as almost anyone's 2022 second and a reasonable prospect beats this offer.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AntreDiAnaheim</b></div><div>Would you be willing to swap Hornqvist with Noel? Or add Noel and remove the retention for Hornqvist.</div></div>
I'm not a panthers fan but don't see why that swap didn't work. Thought Hornqvist would be interesting because Anaheim could flip him again in the offseason or next deadline.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>How do you intend to pay Mackinnon, Byram, and Newhook in 2023 with only EJ's contract coming off the books? Clearly someone needs to get traded to make room, and Puljujarvi and Giroux probably won't sign without NTC's while knowing that Avs will need to trade someone in 2023. Also Giroux won't sign to play 3C.</div></div>
Mack takes like ~11.5? One of Newhook or Byram signs for 1 year until Giroux deal expires, can sell Foegele, or Frank if Annunen is ready, maybe Barron makes a dman expendable, there's options. I agree Giroux isn't 3C, would probably let Nuke take those duties like Landy does

Edmonton in cap trouble, and I think Puljujarvi rocks and is really good defensively. Give money to him because he's younger than Burakovsky, but fits the window better than Olausson. Gives Edmonton 3 young cost controlled forwards and gives Colorado a top 6 winger + versatile forward in Foegele

Olausson is their best forward prospect, and Helleson arguably is, Pronman has him rated higher than Barron.

Have you seen or looked at the season Behrens is happening? He's basically a first round pick, you get an actual first round pick, Bowers in a super well rounded NHL ready former 1st round pick, and Compher is to make the money work, but also can be traded at the deadline next year

Overall some interesting ideas. Appleton is an interesting depth guy who Avs might like. I don't envisage that Sakic will want to have this much roster turnover at the deadline though (ie. 3 roster players out, 4 in).</div></div>
Yeah definitely don't see this much turnover, likely just Giroux and then a D if Byram isn't likely to be back. I didn't think Zub would move but Seravelli listed him as a piece Ottawa would move, so maybe

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15a</b></div><div>That’s a good question, can I say long term at a low aav?🤪</div></div>
Byram I think is almost certainly going to be a bridge contract, if he plays like he can, somewhere in the range of the McAvoy, Werenski, Provorov bridge deals that were signed a few years ago. But he likely won't get prime PP minutes to put up the box car stats so who knows. Newhook I think could get a long-term deal if he has two seasons of playing like a top 6 guy. Will be really interesting!
