The only move that makes sense
<div class="tweet"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Tom Wilson (rumoured to Ottawa) is so much weaker all-up than people seem to realize. Some per-shot impact, though. <a href="https://t.co/xsJnc9xwJD" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">pic.twitter.com/xsJnc9xwJD</a></p>— Micah Blake McCurdy (@IneffectiveMath) <a href="https://twitter.com/IneffectiveMath/status/1673416127706177536?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">June 26, 2023</a></blockquote>
</div>
Makes no sense. Wilson's injury history also a concern
If im moving Willy I want to do a sign and trade like what PLD got. SEA, ANA, CAR, CBJ all make sense for that
If im doing rental like trade what Van got for Horvat would be perfect

TDL - ROR and Tarasenko

You can't expect to acquire any good players if you make all your prospects untouchable...

Dumba

you're actually dumping on their cap, and they have some pieces to re-sign.
The Dumba and Greenway for Nylander trade that is being shopped here a lot might work and benefit both teams.</div></div>
I wouldn’t give up Nylander for Dumba. Nylander should only be moved for a complete defenseman. Dumba is too one dimensional imo

I think what you're thinking is if the Leafs try to walk away from an Arb ruling... but I don't even think it gets to Arb, because I don't think they will qualify him at all.</div></div>
oh gotcha gotcha, makes sense now. i was thinking of it in the sense of an arb ruling. thanks

Wild-Leafs Blockbuster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens65</b></div><div>Is Andersen really an upgrade over Dubnyk?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gdg_9</b></div><div>Yes. Hands down.
Even in a "down" year this past season, his stats were much better than Dubnyk's on a team with arguably worse defense in front of him.
(Andersen 2.85GAA, 0.909SV%; Dubnyk 3.35GAA, 0.890SV%)
Plus he's 4 years younger, still in his prime for a G.</div></div>
Although I say my team "sucks." The reality is that we actually kick ass on defense. And, no offense, but the Leafs are not good defensively. Therefore Dubnyk's numbers should be significantly higher than Andersen's. The fact that it's the other way around shows us that Dubnyk is now leagues behind Andersen. You know that soft goal Andersen gave up to Foudy in game 5? Dubnyk was good for at least one of those type of goals a game. Sometimes several.
So even though I don't personally like the trade, I can see Billy Guerin do this.

Klingberg Trade proposal from Stars fan post
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ragsandbluesfan</b></div><div>klingberg requires nylander or marner</div></div>
I want nothing to do with that Marner cap hit. And I think Kapanen and Liljegren is a better long term fit for the Stars than Nylander who is worth more than just Klinger when you consider term remaining

Leafs Lafreniere Parayko
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gdg_9</b></div><div>I do... but I think Demelo is criminally under rated around the league, and with a flat cap he may be squeezed into a bargain contract.
The fact the Jets got him at the deadline for only a 3rd, with him having that cheap of a cap hit (i.e. he could fit into any team's cap situation) was an absolute steal. No clue why another team didn't beat that offer. Could be a similar situation this summer.
Anyway... as I said, swap him out if needed. with flat cap, shouldn't be too hard to find a serviceable 3rd pair D for $1.5M.</div></div>
I think the jets would offer him at least 3m+ for 5 years. They want to resign him
