What is GMSY going to do to fix this mess
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gpmack95</b></div><div>Would DET do Husso + Voleno + 2nd for Jarry + Acciari + 4th?</div></div>
Hard to say, it's not ridiculous. Acciari is just an older version of Veleno and likely declining where Veleno is improving.

Future considerations for me and most PIT fans. Just want the contract cleared. He's a HORRIBLE fit in Sullivan's system.

Pass from LA, PLD has not looked so bad since the coaching change, besides if Blake makes any more bad moves he is likely gone.

I wouldn't mind getting out of samuelssons contract. But I bet he is valued higher than that around the league

They won’t move Samuelsson. Jokiharju will be the one who’s traded.

Two trades with NJD
I could see Hughes moving Harris > Struble but I'd be on board for that type of trade. Depending on where the WPG pick ends up you could possibly drop the 3rd as well.

Tough decisions
New Jersey has some very promising goalie prospects who are a couple years out, but Knight seems like the next Jack Campbell. Tons of athleticism and technique, just can't get it straight between the ears.
He's a reclimation project at this point, and he's going to need a stout defense to play behind, yet he's paid as a high end tandem/young starter.
Maybe San Jose or Chicago is willing to take a flier on him.

Some hockey trades
I've said before but I'm bored rn so I will again. this trade is definitely reasonable. a lot of the parts makes sense and as you say, lets the Sens keep their 1sts. one thing is that getting rid of Korpisalo isn't a major concern for the Sens, since his contract is very buyout-friendly, so they might not be too interested in a big deal that involves them giving up picks to dump him. other is that the Sens would probably try pretty hard to get the Penguins to take a prospect other than Kleven. regardless, this is interesting and not particularly one-sided for either team, as far as I can see

Jarry 24-25
I think detroit would have to add to holl in that, purely because he's signed for longer and Montreal don't have a need for him. Armia has been quite good this season, maybe that brief stint in the AHL fired him up because he's been way better than he has been since signing that contract. Still not worth the salary but he's more valuable to Montreal than Holl because we need NHL forwards more than defensemen, and the shorter deal would open up money sooner, and the cap flexibility that comes with Armia a year sooner than Holl is probably the most valuable asset in the deal

I still am not a fan of ottawa moving draft picks with needing to forfeit a pick and also having a terrible prospect pool

What can Drury cook this offseason other than pizza
I could absolutely see Carolina doing a deal like this during the offseason to replace UFA defensemen. I don't hate it, but I think they'll pursue a RHD as opposed to Lindgren as that is a bigger need than a LHD with Slavin and Orlov already signed.

Keeping Chychrun
The only 1st I’d be willing to move is the Boston one. Ottawa will likely forfeit the 2026 1st so that 2025 1st would likely have no protection (unless they could give 2027 as part of condition but I’m not sure if you can). I’d decline based on that really

It'll be interesting to see if they continue this summer.

But CS is going to get offers in the 6 mil range.

I was thinking something like this
To Boston: PLD and Reilly Smith
To Pittsburgh: Ullmark and Kaliyev
To LA: Jarry
Another variation might be possible just swapping Kaliyah for Smith and La convincing Ullmark to go to LA

Not a Kings fan but I do think this makes sense for them. However, I'm pretty sure the Pens don't want another expensive, underperforming contract and they probably don't want to give up on their questionable investment just yet. But if I'm both GMs, I have to think about it pretty hard.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gpmack95</b></div><div>There is no way he is that bad... right?</div></div>
There is a way. He had a... controversial (that's the kindest way to put it) end with two different teams.
The guy is a bum, and until he shows otherwise, if I were a GM, I wouldn't even move a 4th round pick for him.
