Lol. No he isn’t and and doesn’t. Boqvist is on league minimum.
They are 25 24 23 respectively and all put similar numbers in AHL. Geekie and Boqvist are ahead of him in terms of development and experience.
Like I said. It’s likely someone will claim him. It won’t be Boston. They don’t have a spot on the roster for him and to far down the list anyway.

All Your Nylander Trades Are Dumb
"ALL YOUR NYLANDER TRADES ARE DUMB". Well, I'll agree that 95% of Nylander trades are dumb. But that contract is most foolish resigning. Eight years is too much term, especially since no one else can offer more than seven. At 10.25m is too much by any comparable. Why pay a player who is at his peak more than likely and just hope he can maintain that pace to his mid 30s.
Crazy to think Nylander is long term centre eligible especially at the expense of Tavares.

That's an outrageous contract for Nylander. He should get max 9 a year.

Way to much
Cant justify paying Nylander more than Tkachuck, Kucherov, Stone, and Rantanen at this point
Either sign for 8.8-9.25m or trade him
And Willy is not a Center at this point anymore and when he has played hes been very inconsistent.

I also think BOS will be better than expected. Really.. only 1 of Zacha, Coyle, or Geekie need to progress and they are fine. Their Defence and Goaltending is excellent and they still have Marchand and Pasta

Question for Buffalo Fans
Krebs plays his role on the sabres well so there's no need to trade him for a rental. The only way I see him being moved is in a package for an upgrade at rd or goalie.

That would honestly be hard for the Bruins to pass up. But it would mean a pivot from being defense first to more balanced overall. Jokiharju would probably be preferred but Brodie's on an expiring deal so it wouldn't make a huge difference.
The issue of course is Ullmark probably has Buffalo on his NTC, but maybe he really liked it there, who knows.

Bedard and Hughes are favorites…but Merkulov could be one of those guys who arrives at right time in right spot. I watched him a bunch in big-ten and he always stood out.

Boring but realistic
Agree with your thoughts. See what some of the younger guys can give you and re-asses as the season goes on.
I do think this team is still somehow underrated. Team had 13 more wins than the next closest team last year and they were on pace for their win total before they added at the TDL. Bergy, Hall and (probably) Krejci are big, big losses, but this is still the same defense and goaltending that allowed 34 less goals than any other team. Still a playoff team imo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hairyberry</b></div><div>No but they aren't so short sighted that they would trade their potential future ace in net for a 30 year old 2C. Sweeney has also openly said that this is the year where young guys will have every opportunity to prove themselves. Lohrei, Lysell, and Merkulov are the big prospects with top 4/top 6 potential, and Geekie, Beecher, Steen, Mclaughlin, and Lauko are all in contention for bottom 6 roles. So while they did sign some cheap veterans to get through this "bridge year", whatever that is, I still think the Bruins are shifting their perspective towards younger players.</div></div>
Merkulov is my dark horse Calder candidate.

Fill The Void
Elias Lindholm is one of the most qualified players in the NHL to replace Patrice Bergeron, and certainly the only one who is available. If you want him with $2M retained, you're looking at the equivalent a top prospect and two first round picks, not dissimilar to the Eichel return minus Alex Tuch. The Bruins don't really have a top tier prospect, although Lysell, Lohrei, and Poitras are intriguing. Jeremy Swayman is the Bruins best trade chip, but he wouldn't have a lot of value to the Flames with Dustin Wolf in the pipeline.

not the same team but not as bad for a team that have a cap penalty of 45M
You’ve counted the overage penalty twice; cap friendly automatically includes it in cap calculation so you have an extra $4.6M to spend. Which you’ll need given those RFA signings are ridiculously low

A perennial cup contender "... not really in a good spot as an organization." What an outlandish and wreckless statement.

Bruins back to the top
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hairyberry</b></div><div>Orlov probably gets closer to $6.5m, O'Reilly probably closer to $6m, Bertuzzi closer to $6m. You're insane to trade Ullmark for nothing, he will get a 1st from someone. I also think you could get some more back for Hall, and quite a lot more for Gryz. I don't hate the lineup though.
Although I personally think Ullmark should stay, he had 6 bad games while injured and now everyone wants to trade our (soon-to-be) Vezina-winning .938 goalie. Plus the fact the Ullmark splits starts with Swayman is the reason Swayman is so good. Give him 55+ games and he will probably not look the same.</div></div>
Agreed on the Orlov / Bertuzzi salary # ...... Frank Seravalli put something out that said he thinks the Bruins can resign Bertuzzi for $5.25 which got me excited, but still don't think it's logical
