Seems like a lot where Nylander is the best player in the trade and two years younger than Lindholm

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Orr28</b></div><div>Oliver Wahlstrom just signed for just over league minimum and has a better PPG.</div></div>
This signing is an overpay, but comparing Wahlstrom to Colton is pointless. I like both guys, but Colton brings far more in his game than just points. As it stands today he’s a much more complete player than Wahlstrom.

<a href="/users/Capfriendly" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Capfriendly</a> I think this is a typo?
Lou told me he signed him for $2,875,000 x 7 years.

New York Islanders signed Pierre Engvall (7 Years / $3,000,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KSIxSKULLS</b></div><div>He plays 13 minutes a night. You can say whatever you want, but numbers don't lie.</div></div>
Engvall gets middle 6 ice time at 5v5. He has scored goals at a top 6 rate in 2 straight seasons and is very good at generating offense and he's above average defensively. He was the primary driver of the isles best line (with nelson and palmieri). They outscored the opposition 15-4 and were among the most effective lines in the league for the last 2 months in the season.
This is still an overpay on term, but Engvall is a very good middle 6 winger who does a lot of things well.

He’s a lot better than a 4th liner.

Forget the Lily trade and don't acquire Borgen. Lily is better, less physical, but I much prefer his upside. Get some more futures instead, and use that to maybe make the Philly trade work. Its not enough for Laughton and dumping Murray.

I imagine the conversation went something like this KD- "Corey, we'd really like you to play for us next season and give us some veteran leadership" Perry-"**** no, I want to win another cup" KD-"I'll give you 4 million dollars" Perry-"where do I sign?"

This takes Yegor straight to UFA status.
I cannot for the life of me understand why Flames didn't QO Yegor at 2.05m and figure out what you want to do with him long-term next summer.
Flames keeping this string of Ls intact.
I'm very happy for Yegor though. He gets a decent aav and UFA status as soon as he could've gotten it.
Well deserved.

Huge overpay for an overated 4th Line Center. I think 2M is about max you should spend on a 4th Liner, and TOR has too be very careful with how they use their funds if they want too have the depth to keep up with other teams in the playoffs and manage keeping their stars.
The term is also disgusting.

Personally, I would do it as Chicago. I think Timmins is a good player and it's fine value for 1 year of Murray, even if he is buried or rides the pine. Definitely an underpayment for a cap dump compared to what the majority of this site would suggest.

my ideal lines vs tampa
Agree. I'd give Knies the opportunity to take ROR's LW spot and shift Acciari down, but more likely that he ends up being a 13th/14th forward option for this year's run before taking on a legit role next year.
So much in the arsenal. I'd start with this. If needed to change it to a shutdown line, you can do that situationally. If needed to change it to loaded top 6, you can also do that situationally. But this would allow us to keep everyone's minutes reasonable for a longer run and create huge matchup problems.
Jarnkrok - Matthews chemistry has really opened more doors for the lineup of late.
People won't like Kerfoot 2LW, but he's fast, smart, defensive, and not afraid to go digging for pucks in the corners. If he'll just shoot the puck a bit more which, he seems to be doing more lately, it's a fine fit. JT needs Marner to be most effective imo.

Not gonna lie JP to CAR was the easiest fit to call ever. Kind of surprised it took this long.
I'm a little worried that it doesn't do much for them, but I like the bet on JP so it's hard to not like this for the cost
