Leafs tax. Nylander is cap dump on capfriendly as are all leaf players. Doesn't matter if they have value contracts or are the best player in the trade.

Unless Nylander can play consistent center (I know he used to have the position on capfriendly, but they removed it), this doesn't make any sense for BOS. I can't imagine a division rival making this trade.

Any trade BOS makes needs to be for a center. They currently have a top 2 of Zacha and Coyle, for cripe's sake haha...

I don't see what need this trade fills for Boston.

Neither do I. While I am a big fan of Willy and Brodie I dont see why Boston would want to do this. DeBrusk is going to be an elite player too and Lindholm is a better fit than Brodie.
From a Leaf point of view it is not bad, Lindholm is 4 years younger and has some offensive skills while Debrusk is a going to be a solid 30+ goal scorer going forward.

Boston not interested at all.

Not trading Hampus for Willy.

Not trading Debrusk for Brodie.

Adding picks does not change that.

I don't know if I'd say DeBrusk will be elite, but it depends on what you consider elite. I agree with the rest of what you have here though.

The only reason i say that is because of the contract lengths, yes nylander is the better player but Lindholm is the better D IMO and locked up for 7 more seasons.
