Nope. This doesn't work either.
Dermott will not go to the taxi squad because he would not clear waivers.
Similar circumstances apply to Boyd and Brooks. (Less likely to be claimed but still possible).
Re-evalute.

Clearly you don't know Glendening. I'm not even joking when I say he's probably one of the best bottom six players in the league. He's an elite bottom six player in my eyes. I can agree maybe not a 2nd, but he's not your average 4th liner, and honestly I think that deal is pretty fair.

Don't disagree. A lot of people had him slotted in the first first pairing for Canada at worlds which is saying quite a bit. But it's a big jump from the Q to the N.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>Detroit is last overall. They add Gaudreau instead of two top prospects and they're still out of the playoffs, but also out of the lottery.
NJ also passes.
What do you have against Gaudreau?</div></div>
I hate gaudreaus style of play, i know the game is faster now but he's scared of any type of contact and shys away from any type of forecheck. Cgy needs to add some skilled players WITH size. Monahan is just as soft as gaudreau and as you can see, it's killing their ability to score.

His 30 days are up from the original waivers which is why he is on waivers again and we'll find out at noon tomorrow whether he clears again. Which I hope he does.

at this point lets just let AA be his own center because they dont have one to go with him. let him play with hirose and svech and let them be for 5 games see how it looks.

And they sent Kaski and Kuffner back down a few minutes ago.

DRW Opening Night
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>redwings_fun</b></div><div>I can see DLR being sent down to GR or they try and trade him at start of season. Ehn being the extra. Id like to see rass play with 3rd line as he will be the best to help with the PP and let Zadina and Veleno play in GR together with Svech. get chemistry together for next year. but since they want rass to play down the middle, he will probably start in GR. My guess is Zadina is making the roster to start the year, we may see Hirose and Zadina split the 2 line with Fil and AA, until the see chemistry and who works best together</div></div>
I think the one thing we are all taking for granted is that hirose will be able to play top 6 minutes and be right at home. I know he looked pretty decent end of last year but it was garbage time and it was only what 9 games. I hope we see atl;east one of these young guys step forward and I want to see Mantha take that step and be a real first line stud winger.

I don't mind trading Neilson and I also don't mind retaining some salary but almost half of his salary and in return the Wings get Vande Sompel and a 4th. You're going to have to sweeten the pot for Detroit to do that.

Cause I don't think Detroit should be tearing it down, they should be building around those players you're trading away.

will not happen
No one is going to pay TBL value for Johnson (or Palat, or anyone else) to help them out of the cap situation they put themselves in. The league knows they've got TBL in a corner. They will have to get creative to get under the cap next year and put a full squad on the ice. And you won't be able to bank on the cap going up much in a contract year for the NHLPA/NHL Owners.

would be nice to see OS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>redwings_fun</b></div><div>Glad you see where I was coming from MacerV. Agree would be hard next year but cap will go up to 83 probably and they would need to look at moving a couple players and hope some young ones can step in. Not resigning Wilson and Nieto is a start and Calvert the following year. Its all workable.</div></div>
I think it really depends on how the team performs in the first two years. If Makar lights it up and guys like Werenski get paid this summer, then Colorado could easily be looking at $12M++ between Makar & Girard which will really tighten the belt a bit with Grubuar, Landeskog, and Jost also looking for considerable raises. Could always move Donksoi, Burakovsky, or Johnson at that point though.

Obviously, in this scenario, Rantanen signs and then Marner is offersheeted. If 12.5M is the number I don't see Toronto matching. Colorado is a talented team, and the first two 1st rounders are likely to be late, but after that with Makar, Landeskog, and others looking for raises and the goaltending spot opening wide up it could get chaotic.
