Hawks Fan Making the Curse Breaking Team
There is no chance the Hawks accept this deal.
Teply, Wise and Timmins are all inconsequential. The 1st round pick compensates the Hawks for taking on Murray’s cap hit and paying the $$ remaining on his contract but Niemelä does not sufficiently cover the cost of Raddysh who is a 20 goal scorer on an amazing deal.

Just as a heads up because I'm not 100% sure it's conveyed up there, but you're asking CHI to eat $16M in cash on dumps/retention.
As a comp...it cost a 2nd round pick to dump $2.3M onto the Hawks. That is how much CHI will have to pay Bailey.

K-Dev does every team volume 7 Chicago
With the depth of LD prospects the Hawks have, they would not give Soucy a 5 year deal, if they target him at all. It's very likely that Vlasic and Phillips are 2/3 of their left side on D next season.
I can see the Hawks having an interest in Yegor, but not at that price. Hawks '23 3rd (#67) is probably as much as they'd offer. If the Hawks take on Murray, it would only be to get the Boston '23 1st in a pick swap. Too much uncertainty swapping '24 picks.
I also think the Hawks will make a strong run at a UFA forward who can play in the top 6 as well. A Killorn, Bunting, Tatar, Nyquist type of guy. On a one or two year deal at an over market AAV.

Wouldn't pay that much for Sharangovich. FC's are about the best EDM can expect for Yamo, at least from CHI that is. Probably wouldn't not do that Murray dump trade. Then again, even with top 10 protection, it could pay off big time in the end.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>Hawks definitely decline. Not nearly enough to take on Murray, who has a $6m actual salary for next season. As for Timmins, he's now playing for his 3rd organization as a 24 y.o. He hasn't had a full healthy season since his draft year in 2017. And he really struggles in his own end. He doesn't have that much value. The 4th round pick might he the best asset in this package.</div></div>
That's understandable. My knowledge of his play is probably too limited to give an accurate assessment. He's looked somewhat promising for a developmental player in the bottom 4. But again, yeah this is a pretty weak package compared to what others would want to receive for Murray.

Rangers with hathaway acciari trading goodrow
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kyk1827</b></div><div>wojohawk Not so sure about that with the cap going up substantially in the next few years. Not like Chicago is looking to compete for cups next few years as they are rebuilding. Goodrow provides unique value to them as it adds a tougher player, veteran winner who's a good mentor to young guys regarding playing the right way and will drop the gloves with pretty much anyone (not saying he'd win the fight) if anyone takes runs at bedard. I think chicago would value that and wouldn't have to really give up much to get him</div></div>
Except that the Hawks are looking to weaponize their current cap space to acquire additional assets to move their rebuild forward. A move like this is pretty much the opposite of their stated plan. Hawks won't be offloading picks for overpaid veteran players - regardless of their "unique value".

I like the first two proposals.
As far as the Mantha offer goes, I think you need to take out the Washington 4th round pick going to Chicago and the Rangers 2nd round pick going to Washington.
So Mantha and Washington’s 2nd round pick in 2023 to the Hawks for the Dallas 2023 3rd round pick. If the Caps don’t like that, find someone else to play ball with.

Lou should be fired lol
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wojohawk</b></div><div>Bailey to the Hawks with a 2nd seems to be a concensus from both fan bases....pretty weird it has not happened yet. There are probably less than 2 handfuls of slots where teams have the cap space to take this sized of a contract in full and I suspect there is a little bit of musical chairs where you want to act before the music stops and there are no openings remaining. Hawks can take probably 3, Detroit a pair, and then maybe 2 or 3 other teams that can take one each. Sure seems like way more teams wanting to move a contract than those that can take one.</div></div>
It hasn't happened yet because Lou is going to do what Lou does all the time. Josh Bailey will end up on ""LTIR"" (Lou's Tricks Irrespective of the Rules) and the league will let it happen.

Krug was arguably the single worst Dman in the entire NHL last year. Krug had an Ozone Start percentage of 79.2% and STILL was a minus 26. No one had the ice flipped on them more than Krug. It's more like how many of those 1sts are you willing to lose for another team to take one of the worst contracts in hockey.
But the other trade is just as bad for STL. You're way over valuing Ceci/Yamamoto. This post is all over the place.

Bedard to Columbus
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Josh_King</b></div><div>These are all very astute observations but people do realize more than half of chicagos roster and prospects are still unsigned? With everything going on I wonder how many of those players are staying and how many sign with new teams, but that also aligns with another problem which is the depth on the team is already terrible. And if Chicago really wants to structure the team for a championship like Florida or Vegas you need developed established players in the league who can play all sides in order to succeed in the playoffs and Chicago is nowhere near that anywhere. Now free agency change both situations but nobody on Chicago plays the way bedard does except for maybe reichel and that sticks bedard and the hawks right into complete mediocrity, and that’s IF bedard can carry the entire team on his back right out the gate. Which has not gone to plan for the most recent 1st round picks.</div></div>
Not really sure what you’re talking about here. The only signings of consequence they have to make are Kurashev and Regula. And yeah they have no depth, they just finished year 1 of a rebuild. They tore it down to the studs and sold off anything of value. They’re not expecting Bedard to carry them anywhere for at least 2 or 3 years. That’s why they’ve loaded up on draft capital over the next 3 years.

Bedard to Columbus
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Josh_King</b></div><div>For what reason other than not knowing how to rebuild a hockey team</div></div>
Actually based on this proposal, I laugh at your comment.
The only asset of really high value the Hawks are getting in return for Bedard is the Columbus 2023 1st round pick. The six “guys” you are sending to Chicago may seem like a lot but they are just that “guys”. All of them are bottom of the roster players that can be acquired without having to give up anything of significant value, hell the Hawks have a boatload of those kind of players already.
Now I know you are going to say “but what about the 2024 & 2025 unprotected 1sts Columbus is including”? Well with the additions of Provorov and Severson and the expected development of Jiricek on top of the addition of Bedard and the return to health of Werenski… it is not difficult to project Columbus as a playoff team next season. If that is the case, those future 1sts could fall in the 17 - 25 range which is nice but not even close to enough to make the Hawks want to trade a potential generational talent.
Funny thing is people like you know deep down your offers miss the mark and yet you still think you can sell people on quantity over quality. Any offer from Columbus for Bedard starts with Jiricek, Johnson, 2023 1st and then add from there… and add a lot.

Quit with the McDavid excuse, it's Lazy and dumb. Yamamoto's most common centre was Draisaitl last season. Yams didn't power play so he was only playing with Draisaitl at even strength, and Leon was the 13th highest scoring player at evens. McDavid was 4th.
Yamamoto is far and away a better defensive forward than Raddysh. That's not even close to being debatable, and he had a goal and an assist on the PK last season
I believe you don't know jack siht</div></div>
Cool, he wasn’t playing with McDavid he was playing with draisaitl. Same thing still applies, Raddysh was playing with Tyler Johnson and Collin Blackwell the whole year and they put up similar numbers. You’re also conveniently glossing over the money which is the reason why Raddysh is worth so much more than yamo. And if yamo is so much better than Raddysh then how come you are acquiring Raddysh and how come you are giving up a 5th and 6th and only getting back a 7th?

Here are Raddysh and Yamamoto's last 3 seasons in the NHL at even strength points, <a href="https://www.naturalstattrick.com/playercompare.php?fromseason=20202021&thruseason=20222023&stype=2&sit=ev&score=all&stdoi=std&rate=n&p1=8479390&p2=8479977&loc=B&gpfilt=none&fd=&td=&tgp=410&lines=single" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Raddysh vs Yamamoto</a>, and remember Raddysh is a year older and Yamamoto was injured for most of last season.</div></div>
The difference is that yamo has put up those numbers while playing with McDavid and drai while Raddysh has been on one of the worst teams in the league. Not to mention that almost 2.5 million less in salary means a lot in a salary cap league. You can believe whatever you want but in the real world yamo’s value is like a fourth and Raddysh’s is a late first
