I think Rasmussen and Veleno will both be playing center and that Frans Nielsen will be bought out this summer.

If you read my comments, you may take Boeser out and I think it would work.

20-21 Red Wings
I mean, I've read numerous articles about how the Red Wings should be using their cap space to take on bad contracts while also building draft capital and maybe throw in a decent young player. Boeser is asking too much, but like I said in my description, I like him and it was fun. You may take him out and insert this year's draft pick if you'd like.

I don't think AA is Yzerman's type of player. Just don't see him coming back in any scenario. Plus, having him and Galchenyuk on a line together would break a record for +/-, and not in a good way haha

Seider will be a Red Wing on opening night next year, barring any injuries. And I don't think they want Ghost. And Nemeth was the best "D"efenseman this year and makes $3 million a year, not sure he'd be getting scratched. And Helm plays over Abdelkader any day of the week. Something is going to happen to Abby and/or Nielsen's contract this summer.

4 years for a 30 year old goalie is substantial haha

It's going to come down to money for Lehner and a place that he can be number 1 for a substantial amount of years. The Wings will have the money to give him and can you think of a team in the league that needs a goalie more than the Wings?

Red Wings 2020
I believe Yzerman is going to spend money on a UFA goalie this year. Nothing wrong with Bernier, but with 20+ million in cap space even after signing RFA's, you almost have spend on a goalie for the Red Wings' situation. What happens if Bernier gets hurt next year? Also, if you think Lehner won't sign for 5 million again, then just add a million or two in your head and this scenario above still works out.

I've read from a few "experts" who think that Laffrieniere is the only NHL ready player. Anyways, I left the first rounder from this year out of this simulation. If it's Laffy, you can throw him in.

Nice looking rebuild
I think Bertuzzi signs a team friendly 5 year deal at like 3.5 - 4 million. That's if he replicates last year or does a little better. Definitely will ask for as much as Mantha/Athanasiou if he gets close to 30 goals.

I wouldn't even want the Avs to pick him up on Waivers, he offers little to nothing in terms of stability in a back up role</div></div>
How does Howard suck? His numbers on THIS team the last three years are outstanding.

Way too early to be offering up the likes of Zadina/Veleno/Rasmussen. We haven't even had a chance to see them develop/play. I agree on Trouba, if Winnipeg's asking price is too high which of course it will be. And Spencer Knight, I just don't see it. He'll be an average goalie at best, in my opinion.

I just can't see the offer sheet being worth it. There's a number of reasons why GM's don't do it, mostly what you have to give up if they agree.

I actually really like this. Although, I'm not a Mantha fan nor do I think Yzerman is. I'm sure he'll give him this final year to check him out, but I'd LOVE to trade him and second rounder this year for a first either this year or next.
