A lot more trades have to happen for this to work, AND you don’t scratch Vesey either trade himfor picks/prospects or have him line 4. Also, EK injuries are way too scary and he may need surgery now. He probably just lost a lot of $ as a UFA. Toronto May need JG to retain $ on Vlad as well for that trade to work for them.

Just not interested. Don't see DeAngelo as a perfect fit and am of the belief Nylander is not getting dealt. Would much rather keep him.

Leafs can't take Namestkikov cap in any trade. Heck the if I'm Leaf GM and because I don't have a man crush on Willy., D'Angelo and the Rangers 2nd might be enough. And you're right, put Willy at centre.

Or maybe no one would say that at all...


The trade is fair but leafs aren’t moving nylander and the cap coming back doesn’t work. Drop Vlad for an elc or prospect and the trade would work.
