Is this an overpay for Eichel? I don't think so...I think it's pretty fair value (unless it would take an additional 1st (2021) instead of the 3rd this year. Assuming he twists BUF's arm a little and indirectly requests a trade/voices displeasure with the situation there.

Plenty of cap space remaining to fill our 4th line and 3rd pair.

Eichel is not being traded and he won't ask for a trade. Also he is worth way more than that, don't disrespect him with that offer. You wouldn't trade Zibanejad for Montour, Johansson, Cozens and late 1st and a 3rd would you? Eichel is a much better player than ZIbanejad. (cue angry NYR fans saying otherwise)

Montour, Cozens, and a 1st is actually a pretty good deal for Zibanejad. Value for Eichel here is definitely too low tho for sure. Offer would have to start with Kaako/Shesterkin+.
