Unless the Habs' 1st round picks is in the top 10 (with the Sharks' pick being higher than the Habs'), Sharks' 2020 1st round pick is as untouchable as the Sens' 2019 1st round pick.

OTT's needs are D and Goaltending
Both positions are ranked 6th-12th OA

OTT Needs Askarov , its not even a question
they'll never have another shot like this to grab a Franchise Goalie they've Never to this date had.

This trade's pretty bad but the possibility of it happening is higher then you'd think .
That 1st pick is to grab the best available D but that 2nd pick they'd be nuts not to get Askarov giving who they got or dont have to replace their 38 year old goalie

The fact that he's a Starter in the league for 7-10 years as #1 undisputed

Lundqvist = Franchise
Price = Franchise
Quick= Franchise
Crawford = Franchise
MAF = Franchise

Awards are obviously a big part of it otherwise you're just a long term goalie like Anderson or Smith
Franchise means essentially he's your number 1 guy on ice for the next decade .
it usually helps if they're top 10 in the league atleast half that time if not more
