If Zetterberg is on LTIR for the season, it is meaningless for Detroit to take him or for any team to accept him, doesn't affect the cap at all. So, you really think Gourde and Johnson will waive their NTC for the Wings?

Oof, that's a lot of cap for a lot of years. I think Detroit asks for more than a very late 1st and a meh prospect.

Yeah Tampa's not paying a 1st and ABB to move positive value assets. Neither of them are waiving to a rebuilding team either

This is a good question. I think the answer really depends. Gourde is coming off a career low in ATOI. He just might waive to go to DET...Yzerman did give him that contract and Gourde WILL 100% get more ice time. With that said...Yzerman isn't looking to do TBL any favors so it might actually cost TBL...similar to a Marleau situation...???
