So Philly gets a 40 goal scorer and what of value are you sending to Winnipeg in return? Because I dont see anything

Sharks already have too many bottom six forwards. Pass.

Even if you got Laine, I don't think sticking him on the 3rd line will make him want to remain a Flyer for very long. He already dislikes the 2nd line and wants to play line 1 with in Scheifele. And your plan is to play him with Laughton on line 3...

The big issues with Laine are the Jets want to be compensated like he is a perennial 40+ goal scorer when in reality, he hit that mark once, three seasons ago.

Then we are supposed to ignore the fact that he is not good at the other aspects of the game, having terrible numbers in his own end... and that he is whining his way out of town and threw a temper tantrum in the media about not playing on the line he wanted.

Hopefully he stays in Winnipeg and grows up. I’d hate to see the Flyers ship out multiple assets for a guy you have to hand-hold.

Luckily for us I don't believe Fletcher is willing to give up that much to get him. Another concern is his only 1 year left. A lot of uncertainty. Given his attitude in Winnipeg I have zero doubt he'll be a pain in contract negotiations. Rather go after Nylander who is under contract for a while or look elsewhere. But I don't think the market for Laine is going to be as crazy as Jets fans assume. When he's traded I have a feeling JEts fans are going to feel robbed.
