Description
This is the more realistic option that doesn't involve a significant move. The Leafs should probably stick with the core, and yes I get Marner and Matthews were horrible. While this is may not what I would do, it is certainly the more realistic one.

TOR
    Future Considerations
    SEA
    1. Dermott, Travis
    2. 2023 4th round pick (TOR)
    Additional Details:
Draft pick ensures SEA does not select Justin Holl. Instead the Kraken opt for Travis Dermott.
    2.
    TOR
    1. Domi, Max ($2,650,000 retained)
    Additional Details:
EXPLANATION: TOR receives a hometown kid who is cheaper and plays the style of hockey the Leafs could use in the playoffs. Would also be awesome for the city to embrace another Domi in town.
    CBJ
    1. Engvall, Pierre
    2. Kerfoot, Alexander
    3. 2023 6th round pick (TOR)
    Additional Details:
CBJ recieves a 2023 6th round pick from TOR on the condition that Max Domi signs an extension with TOR.

EXPLANATION: CBJ receives assets for Domi who is most likely not going to re-sign with them.
    3.
    TOR
    1. O'Connor, Logan
    Additional Details:
EXPLANATION: This is most definitely an overpay from Toronto in terms of value but O'Connor is one of the more slept on players in the league. He can kill penalties and drive play at a high level.
    COL
    1. Brooks, Adam
    2. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)
    Additional Details:
EXPLANATION: COL gets a fringe NHL player who can certainly fit on the 4th line. They also turn O'Connor who was an undrafted NCAA free agent into an asset.
    4.
    TOR
    1. Bertuzzi, Tyler [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
EXPLANATION: Toronto receives some grit and some skill which is always great to have in the playoffs. Bertuzzi can get a little bit too chippy at times but the main purpose for brining him in is to score some goals in the middle 6. While the Leafs might be overpaying again, they are in win now mode and are not losing any of their top prospects while making the roster much better.
    DET
    1. Anderson, Joey
    2. Kokkonen, Mikko [Reserve List]
    3. Scott, Ian
    Additional Details:
EXPLANATION: Detroit gets a ton of youth for a guy that doesn't lineup with their timeline. Kokkonen is just 20 years old and is already in high impact player in the Liiga and on the Marlies while showing out in the IIHF World Juniors for Finland. Joey Anderson is a guy who can play in the NHL but it might not work here in Toronto for him and Ian Scott is a former highly sought after goalie prospect. Unfortunately for Scott, injuries have plagued the past few seasons but hopefully a change of scenery will jumpstart his career.

Yeah that doesn’t get you domi we’d rather have a larger future asset come back. And a conditional 6th which isn’t allowed anymore wouldn’t even be close.

Bertuzzi's contract is definitely too low, and the value isn't close. Especially as Toronto has higher end pieces to offer. Perhaps the 1st in 2022 or 2023, Liljegren, Amirov etc.

    kerfoot fail.

And Roslovic (mentioned in the description) isn't getting moved for blood or money.
