I agree they don't trade Matthews, and I don't think there's anything WSH could add that would change their mind right now. I mean, if McMicahel wins the Calder trophy and Matthews asks for a trade, maybe talk again next summer, but right now it's not happening.

Since 2018, Matthews has 18 playoff points. Wilson has 25. Kuznetsov has 43. So, no. This would be an awesome trade for Toronto. They just would never do it.

I'm not a fan of Toronto Capitals...especially since Ottawa is the actual Capital.

Washington Maple Leafs also sound plain old weird if you ask me.

Since 2019 Matthews has 17 points in 19 playoff games. Kuznetsov has 11 points in 18 playoff games and Wilson has 10 points in 20 playoff games. This would be total steal for the Caps. Leafs just would never do it.

See? Just pick a favorable narrative and everything you say suddenly sound so wise. You live in the 2017-18 like EDM office is living in the 1980's.

A lot has happened since those days btw.
