We have absolutely no incentive to trade Quick, little incentive to acquire Olofsson (who is seventh in playing time among forwards on your team and similarly wouldn't play above the third line on ours), and even less incentive to acquire another center prospect (although Huglen is a nice one, especially for your team).

I really like EJ but I dont think Sakic would be able to turn that down even with COL's RHD shortage. It gives a lot of cap flexibility.

EJ seems like the ideal partner for Power too - veteran with lots of experience and also a former 1st overall pick so he understands the pressure

Only thing that would stop this trade is EJ's NTC, if BUF isnt on his 19 team trade list then this is a no go

EJ isn’t a cap dump COL isn’t paying anybody to take him.

BUF is one of the teams I think it’s safe to assume along with AZ OTT that are locks for the list.
