Cap Dump for Bruins, slots in as the 2LD for Bruins. A very good puck moving d man, can play near 20 minutes a night, and would be an amazing fit.

The much seen return for Reilly is a 3rd, I think Oilers here add a tad bit extra just to outbid other offers (especially considering this is a later end 3rd round pick). A 6th added on should get it done

The 2023 5th becomes a 2023 3rd if the Dallas Stars make the Playoffs in 2023 and Tyson Barrie records at least 45 points in the 2022/23 regular season

Barrie just isn’t a fit for what the Oilers need. A PP quarterback who can provide a lot of value elsewhere but not in Edmonton. His contract gives him little value. Oilers take on Bishop’s LTIR just to save Dallas about 3.5 mil in real money. Oilers also add Benson as a 4th line/13th forward who likely won’t ever get a full time chance in Edmonton

Solid prospect and a 3rd go to SJ for Reimer, and Oilers get a minor upgrade in value with the middle 6ers as well. Balcers is cheaper, around the same age, and overall is the better player in my opinion. Reimer is a cheap option to be a starter for 50 or so games like he has been this year and will ease the pressure off of Skinner who should be ready for a full time backup role

Both Retire (could both just be on LTIR for the year and call it their retirement just so they make the money anyways, doesn’t really matter. In the end; both call it quits).
