Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Reilly, Mike
Additional Details:
Cap Dump for Bruins, slots in as the 2LD for Bruins. A very good puck moving d man, can play near 20 minutes a night, and would be an amazing fit.
BOS
  1. 2022 6th round pick (EDM)
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
The much seen return for Reilly is a 3rd, I think Oilers here add a tad bit extra just to outbid other offers (especially considering this is a later end 3rd round pick). A 6th added on should get it done
2.
EDM
  1. Bishop, Ben
  2. 2022 4th round pick (DAL)
  3. 2023 5th round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
The 2023 5th becomes a 2023 3rd if the Dallas Stars make the Playoffs in 2023 and Tyson Barrie records at least 45 points in the 2022/23 regular season
DAL
  1. Barrie, Tyson
  2. Benson, Tyler [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Barrie just isn’t a fit for what the Oilers need. A PP quarterback who can provide a lot of value elsewhere but not in Edmonton. His contract gives him little value. Oilers take on Bishop’s LTIR just to save Dallas about 3.5 mil in real money. Oilers also add Benson as a 4th line/13th forward who likely won’t ever get a full time chance in Edmonton
3.
EDM
  1. 2022 6th round pick (ARI)
ARI
  1. Kassian, Zack
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Cap Dump
4.
EDM
  1. Balcers, Rūdolfs
  2. Reimer, James
  3. 2023 7th round pick (SJS)
SJS
  1. Foegele, Warren
  2. Lavoie, Raphael
  3. 2024 3rd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Solid prospect and a 3rd go to SJ for Reimer, and Oilers get a minor upgrade in value with the middle 6ers as well. Balcers is cheaper, around the same age, and overall is the better player in my opinion. Reimer is a cheap option to be a starter for 50 or so games like he has been this year and will ease the pressure off of Skinner who should be ready for a full time backup role
5.
EDM
ARI
  1. Keith, Duncan
  2. Smith, Mike
Additional Details:
Both Retire (could both just be on LTIR for the year and call it their retirement just so they make the money anyways, doesn’t really matter. In the end; both call it quits).

I don't think DAL can afford this, even though I like the price.

We'd need to include an actual cap dump from the roster to make this happen. Bishop's LTIR money won't have this effect I'm afraid.

Very, very easy no from the Sharks. And it isn't close.

Where's the value going to ARI with Keith and Smith?
Also if Barrie doesn't fit in EDM, he doesn't fit anywhere.

Balcers has produced at a better rate than Foegle while being cheaper. Reimer has been great, worth a 2nd rounder at least. Lavoie isn’t a great prospect, production isn’t great and projects as at best a 3rd liner. I don’t see it from San Jose

I don’t think you understand how ltir works. You can only benefit from it if can start the season with bishop on the roster then move to ltir. All did with that trade is give away one of the best pp quarterbacks away with benson for late round picks. Huge loss for Edmonton.
