That Stars trade makes me vomit.

If we had the money to take in overpaid D-men we would just re-sign Klingberg. He brings us similar cap issues without actually losing assets.

Price would be walking away from $31.25 million in salary. I would think LTIR would be a more likely outcome.

Arizona got Nathan Smith for taking on Bryan Little's contract which had a lower AAV and a shorter term. They only sent a 4th round pick back to Winnipeg.

Since Weber's deal has a higher AAV and a longer term (which would constrain the Coyotes longer), they probably don't send much back to Montreal -- certainly not a late 1st and an early 2nd. Also since they took on the Little contract, there isn't alot of urgency in trying to get to the cap floor this coming year. Maybe they would look at Weber's contract in a couple of years if this is the best offer from Montreal.

You can have Georgiev for free if he is up for going there. I'm pretty sure he ends up getting to choose his destination because there isn't a whole lot of good offers for him. We can't afford Hoffman. We'll have to give Nemeth away separately
